Youtube / Adobe Flash issue - multiple browsers

Browser: Chrome (23.xxx - latest)
Issue: Can't watch youtube videos. the video plays but there is no audio.
Flash version 11.5

Browser: Firefox 18.0
Issue: Can't watch youtube videos. browser stops responding and later says flash player has crashed and is responsive again.

Browser: Opera (latest)
Issue: Freezes while loading youtube video

Browser: IE 9
Issue: IE hangs video loads about 1-2% but not able to click play or hear sounds.

Have another laptop running fire fox 18 and flash 11. I tried to mimic the program and flash versions on mine but no luck. Any idea on how to fix this?

I have uninstalled/reinstalled all my browsers , all my flash plugins / player file. Restarted a kajillion times...

HELP!

Could it be a driver issue?

do you know what your video card is? or is it an onboard card?

You should go right to the site of whomever made the card - and download the latest drivers. (ie, nvidia/AMD).

If you don't know - go to your control panel - look at Device Manager - and under Display Adapters, you should see the model of the video card.

If you suspect a registry issue, try running CCleaner.

happened on my parents computer as well. it was a lengthy process to fix it or i just lucked out while trying to fix it. i uninstalled adobe flash and made sure it was completely clean even from the registry info. uninstalled their browser (which was firefox) then reinstalled firefox and then adobe flash.

I've been getting similar errors today, but it could be a network issue for me since I moved homes today.

I had this happen to me a few years back, turned out to be a faulty graphics processor. After I swapped it for another HD 4870, worked great.

I think it a combination of the recent version of Flash and Firefox.

What I noticed for Flash is that there seems to be two instances in task manager being shown so I end both tasks off. As for Firefox, it seems to crash if I close a browser then open a new one almost right away which did not use to happen in the previous versions.
