Man, Kimi :(... he was tearing it up first stint after having to pit. Would have been interesting to see him at the front.

Is it just me or is F1 starting to becoming a gong show with all the silly inexperienced and inconsiderate driving? There is racing, and then there is being an idiot. The difference in caliber of driving from the front runners to the mid packers is very big. Like watching Maldonado, Perez, Grosjean etc.. They have blips of excellence but then fall back into driving like Formula 3 drivers (which some are arguably better than current F1 drivers).

I really hope to see Kimi at Ferrari next year with Alonso. Massa can retire for all I care. Bring Kobayashi back to race for Lotus but that might be tough since Lotus needs someone with big backing to really compete. Which he doesn't have.

The F1 world is only now waiting for the announcement.

"It's done," agreed Autosprint correspondent Alberto Antonini.

"Kimi Raikkonen has a Ferrari contract in his pocket."

It is explosive and significant news, because - at least on paper - Fernando Alonso alongside the Finn is arguably the best driver duo on the grid.

"If it works, the constructors' title will be harder for us," Red Bull's Dr Helmut Marko told Bild newspaper.

"Or they could tear each other apart. Wait and see," he added.

Indeed, Spaniard Alonso has made clear his strong desire to continue to be partnered by the Brazilian Felipe Massa.

"I have a great respect for Felipe," he is quoted by Brazil's Globo. "He is a great professional and works very hard on the race weekends but also in the simulator.

"If the team decides to keep him, I'll be happy," added Alonso.

So it's there where the problem may lie. Having already flirted with Red Bull, the latest rumours are linking Alonso with a shock switch to McLaren or even Lotus.

"To be honest, we have several plans," said Lotus team boss Eric Boullier, facing up to the prospect of probably losing Raikkonen.

"After Ferrari fills their vacancy, our seat will be the most coveted. So we can afford to see what happens."

The leading candidate to replace Raikkonen at Lotus is the German Nico Hulkenberg, who put his CV in the limelight with a top performance at Monza.

But the experienced Massa could be another option.

"Ferrari is a super team; it's difficult to find another like it," the Ferrari driver said. "So it's important to look at all the options."

Webber and Alonso both got reprimanded for their little taxi incident?! Oh my fuck..I'm not a big fan of Alonso but wow..that ain't right at all.

IMO it was pretty cool to see Alonso giving Webber a ride and Webber giving Alonso a ride(Silverstone '08?). Showed some emotion and sportsmanship :)

Edit: Apparently the Merc duo had to take avoiding action from a video the FIA has. Wonder if we'll ever get to see it :/

I found the race to be mind-numbing. I miss the chicane, but whatever. Alonso's start was incredible, as usual. What was that, four places in a single turn?

Great to see Kimi back on the podium. Not so great seeing Vettel run away like he did.

The place where Alonso stopped to pick up Webber was fucking retarded spot. So yeah, both deserved to be reprimanded

10 place penalty for Webber cause its his third reprimand

Pretty sure they weren't reprimanded directly for the taxi thing, rather where Alonso stopped (and picking up an "object"). It does show the mutual respect, tradition etc and its been happening for like 20 years, though like once in a blue moon.

Webber didn't have permission from the marshals to run back on the track, yet he did which is why he was reprimanded.. and he was almost taken out twice, by Kimi and Nico. Hamilton had to adjust quickly too or else he would of rear ended Alonso
