Ahh Fatlace. Excellent. Revscene could be like Fatlace if they aspired to be.

Thanks Matsuda

Edit: This guy is similar to George Barris or Carroll Shelby but less concerned with his "image" and more about enjoying the process of building these cars and driving them. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I respect his dedication and passion. I'm glad this thread came about.

Thanks for the vid Matsuda. Pretty cool guy. I'd love a 993 TT in stock form but i can understand now why people have a raging hardon for this Nakai-san.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems that all that the guy does is install wide body kits onto 911s. His workmanship and style seems to be why people like him. I'm just curious to know if this is all he has to offers. An appearance pack. Does this guy perform performance mods as well? Do the cars actually handle/drive better/faster after he is done with it?

I've been told that apparently the facebook link in the original thread (and what caused the drama) is a local company/website/shop that had nothing to do with the actual build but is trying to get publicity from it all. The car was apparently built and worked on at another shop. This would explain why some were saying that the shop was in New West and some were saying North Van.
Apologies if it came off as trying to advertise for the shop in the deleted thread, it was simply a build up thread onto the car and was not intending to create the dramatica.

huh???

Ruf doesn't even care to mod classic aircooled 911s anymore so who cares. They can go play with Boxsters, Caymans and watercooled 911s all day long.

Rauh Welt is in their own league.

They do both. In fact, they do(or did) sell 'BTR kit' to make your 911 a BTR.

However that was not my point...

Saw this fabulous beast cruising on 4th Ave this morning. Dude, gave me a strong thumbs up when we pulled beside him. Looks like he is enjoying it to the max! Love seeing that it is being used and enjoyed. I made my wife follow him so we could get close up. Felt like a stalker but this car must be stalked. lol!

Much better!

I think just about every picture of nakai-san I've ever seen involves him smoking a cig, covered in lots of dirt and grease. It's a great look.

He was such an awesome guy to hang around with.
He even gave us a ride back to the train station when we visited him last summer.
