If you're ever in White Rock area, River Mekong has the best broth I've tried (in my admittedly limited Pho experience, maybe tried 6-7 Pho places) quality beef and great service.

When I'm in Richmond

1. Pho Viet (RIP, new one is no comparison to the old...)
2. Pho Lan (best spring rolls, but just the shittiest staff/cleanliness)
3. Pho Thai Son

Surrey
Pho Tam, I've only been there once and it was good, but so far out of the way for me. I go to the 3 other places regularly and can judge them way more easily.

1. Pho Tau Bay (Newton one, much better than Guildford)
2. Saigon (Pho-to-go) (Excellent broth, the family is awesome there too)
3. River Mekong (Decent Pho...and there's one girl who works there )

Noventa, stop double posting, and there's no such thing as the best cause every Vietnamese restaurant has their own specialty dish(es).

The only one I've ever been to more than once is the Pho Hoa in Coquitlam on Austin ave. Pretty darn good.
Except for that one time I found tripe floating in my soup.... not cool.

Finally checked out Pho Viet in Richmond as recommended by many of you guys. They are so generous on the meat portion. Soup is spot on. Noodle is on the chewy/bouncy side which some may not like. Cheap prices, but cash only. Overall not bad, I may go there once in a while if I carry cash.

If you're in Richmond, there is no way you can go around without cash.

Almost all the cheap eats places I've been are cash only.

Not a fan of the softer/mushy stuff.

pho viet is really good. i went to this restaurant from when i was a little kid to now. but their prices always go up. its very quiet in the restaurant now, unlike the old location.

i sometimes pop into thai son. their service and prices are much better. thai son's rice is the best.

I went there once when they first opened, found their broth to be quite bland. But interested in checking it out again supposedly it's pretty good. They're on vacation until mid-late March, though.

I like how their noodles don't stick together in the broth. Its really chewy too. The soup is bland because prob they dont use msg etc.

more healthy too.

The coffee there is not bad as well.

Tried Pho Hong in Burnaby... thought it was decent.
Again, not a huge fan of the softer noodles.

Pho Tau Bay has probably one of the best tasting soups in my opinion.
Their Newton Location has a really nice decor, is pretty clean, and rarely screw up an order.

I've been to the Pho Tan on Main and in Kerrisdale, haven't tried the burnaby one.

They have this satay style pho that's straight money.

Their regular pho isn't very good, imo.
