Been going to Song Huong for ages now, must be at least 10 years. I don't even have to order anymore, couple of the servers there know what I like, so I just tell them 'the usual' when I walk in and I get my food instantly Was exposed to Surrey pho recently though, at Pho Tam, and damn that pho is good. Also used to go to Petit Saigon, but since they changed owners a few years back I haven't liked it.

probably my favourite places to get pho is Song Hong on like Naniamo and 1st. great portions for the cost, and great pho. on kingsway and naniamo, pho hoa is good. even though its a chain restaurant, i've been to other ones and they weren't good as that one. theres another one on like naniamo and broadway thats pretty good, its like directly across from bons. i dont remember the name, but the cost is good and the pho is alright.

i'm pretty sure they're vietnamese. I go there a lot, they... all speak vietnamese. some of the waitresses or at least one of them know how to speak mandarin too.

I agree; many of the restaurants here are interchangeable for me. I actually had better pho in Vernon than any place in Vancouver.

Sung houng is only good for bun bo hue , every vietnamese place has their own speciality.

I say le do is good for pho, soup is always steaming hot unlike every other places where is barely hot.

Sung houng is awesome for bun bo hue, bau chao is good for vermicelli.

Cafe Xu Hue & Song Huong for BBH.

Pho Lan, Pho Viet, Green Lemongrass for regular Pho.

Not a huge fan of Thai Son, find their broths to be too salty/MSGy.

Not pho, but I just had the "Beef 7 Ways" for the first time yesterday at Song Huong

Pho Le Do was good. Their portions of noodles and beef were at one point very generous, and the broth was delicious. Unfortunately, they started cutting corners, using an inferior type of noodle and cutting back on the portioins of beef. There was little to no difference between their small and large bowls of pho, other than the amount of soup you got. The broth is still okay at best but could be better. And yes, their rice dishes weren't that great by any means.

The only saving grace is that their broth comes out piping hot. I stopped going there ages ago.

really? you all have bad taste in terms of pho. I am going to say this but... that place is utter balls! They name changed for a reason, their broth is watery, no flavour, no meat, just more noodles!!! i am going to stop posting in this thread since some of you guys are either

A) trolling

or b) have bad taste for pho

i give lotus 1/5, the 1 star for the restaurant being friendly.

Haha, I go to the gym w/ the owner every night.
The guy is a health nut, so he doesn't put as much msg in his soup cause he eats pho for breakfast everyday
