If you cant make it on your own makin 40k your doing it wrong. I'm not sayin 40k is a shit ton of money but its more then enough to "make it".

I think a Townhouse or a big 2 bedroom apartment. However I would think a townhouse is better since it is bigger and the starta fees are generally cheaper than an apartment.

If you have 900 - 1200 sq ft apartment, install one of these in your living room. Your living room is your kids' room, and that plus your kitchen will be your family hang out room. Put a TV in your room until the kids gets older, then put it in the living room with a sofa bed. Then you guys can have a sleep over in the kids room occasionally when they're older. It's doable, you just have to consider what sort of lifestyle you'll put your kids in. But in the end, anyone will suggest a house or a 2 bedroom apartment at the least.

rsx 02-19-2013 05:50 PM

40k isn't a lot dude.

mr_chin 02-19-2013 06:00 PM

just live in richmond, delta, or surrey. they have cheap houses there that you can possibly afford with a 30 - 50k annual income. don't even think about getting a house in vancouver, burnaby or north van without atleast 80 - 150k (if you paying it by yourself) annual income. suck it up until the bubble bursts (if ever).

Excelsis 02-19-2013 06:11 PM

prices in richmond are cheap? are you nuts lol?

Alby 02-19-2013 06:16 PM

must be a joke. richmond is overran by mainlanders inflating the prices waaaaay up.

elwell 02-19-2013 08:02 PM

Can you be happy living in a cramped condo barely scraping by?

Excelsis 02-20-2013 02:38 PM

you can be happy with that for sure, maybe not comfortable though.. but i wonder why would you settle for less when you can have more? unless that is if it's your desire to live like that, then no problem

You rather leach off the government and taxpayers so you call that a "fun experiencing life"
:ahwow:

Ronin 02-20-2013 06:05 PM

More money = more life experiences.

vancitylove 02-20-2013 07:45 PM

I wouldn't say more life experiences

Definitely different life experiences.

What about your kids or your wife, you think they are going to be happy living on welfare.

I live for the moment and I regret nothing, I could die tomorrow and it would be with a smile on my face for living how I've lived

I know chinese fucking geeks are sitting on millions of their parent's wealth, but does that buy them an ounce of cool or status beyond their own social circles?

so IMO i value life experiences.

My bank account is $0 but if your life is full of joy and experiences, you're already rich
