Longterm, LTC may hit 100, when difficulty warrants it. Right now, a correction is waiting to happen. It's foolish to think that I could just go out and add another 7950 GPU to my current 2, and make $50+ /day. That is crazy fast ROI.

Making back the cost of hardware in a matter of months is a crazy enough ROI as it is.

First informative post here in the Bitcoin thread. I'm developing a love for it so I'll spread some information on how to.

For Bitcoin wallet:
- Use blockchain.info and turn on 2 Factor Authentication

To buy BTC:
- Option 1: The quickest way is to buy from the ATM. But note their rate is +8-10% current market BTC rate. They are making a huge killing on this
-Option 2: Setup account at Cavirtex. I put in an application to verify since last week and make it seems like it will take forever. Currently this is the best rate in Canada.
-Option 3: Buy BTC from a local person through localbitcoins.com. Make sure to use reputable and trustworthy dealers. It can get sketchy.

How to buy LTC:
-Option 1: Buy LTC from local person like Option 4 for BTC
-Option 2: Once you BTC, setup an account with BTC-E and send your BTC there. BTC-E is currently the largest exchange for all the alt currencies. Note: it's pretty sketch though as it's some Russian website with no way of contacting or knowing who owns/runs the website. So YMMV

All in all, have fun, do you due diligence and happy mining and speculating!

Indeed, I bought back in just below $26 when the exchange was crapping out. Thinking I am going to just forget about it for a few weeks and see where it stands.

Okay... I saw $30 and figured I better not get greedy. The movement today is unreal! I think there will be some good dips to buy on though...

I created a paper wallet off of liteaddress.org and deposited some ltc in there. How do I check the balance? blockchain.info or blockexplorer.com is what it says I can use, are there any other ones? Is there usually a timeframe before it shows up?

Pushing $35 now lol wtf...

The greedy me wants to hold on to my remaining LTC, the smart me wants to cash out and get back in on a drop...

Problem is I sold my majority around $9-$19 so the drop gonna have to be substantial for me to get value

I'm still just using mine to buy BTC, for long term investment in case it becomes mainstream. Maybe that's not the best way, but if more people actually USE bitcoin, it will only become more valuable.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the big boys are finally playing LTC or BTC, setting it up for the "buy buy buy, you can do no harm, it can only go up"

Then drop it a decent amount, then you have the panic sellers, then some who go " it'd rebound!"

Then drop it more, then you have the capitulation, then the big boys buy it all up and bring it up again.

ugh...stayed up until 3am reading bitcoin stories.

One guy mined 7500 bc's and threw out his hard drive in the garbage. No idea if it's fake or not.

One guy had 25,000 bc's stolen last year.

Insane, BC's made a lot of people rich. Quite the story.

They seem legit. I got in on their NMC pump from $7, but I bailed out at $11 because it was 3AM, I had to sleep. I wish I didn't. Now, NMC is $14 on BTC-E
