(actually the smart thing may be to sell all those GPUs now that they are super valuable, and just buy coins with the profit)
I paid off the 6 cards and power at the start of January. When I started mining Eth was less than $300. I'm holding till the wheels fall off.

I've stopped getting hyped and participating in new ICO's for now. There's just too many scamcoins, shitcoins, and overall scams and schemes out there on the market right now. I think it's more important to invest in platforms that have blockchain 3.0 in mind, that fixes the scalability issues we are currently running into. A lot of these new ICO's are more or less just fundraising efforts, and that's not what I'm really about. We should focus more on the underlying infrastructure of this new internet instead

1080Ti came in today. the rig is flying now. With 6 cards I was getting .2 eth every 9 days. Will see how long it takes now with 3 extra cards. The crazy thing is It's only drawing a little less than 1650 watts from the wall and I had the monitor running. That's with no under volting.

Because I live in Nanaimo and it's hard to get parts. Most places have a 1 GPU per customer policy.

From the first page posted in 2013.

There is supposedly a new miner that mines $200/day vs $20 a day ETH or BTC that would be more ideal

Problem again is getting one. They are all sold out. Also When new asic miners come out the difficulty increases big time.

No wonder, i am not getting anything from mining Siacoin anymore...

Eventually, mining will be all ASIC ?
Which means doomsday for GPU miners ?

The reason i went with GPU mining, its because, GPU still somehow hold some value.
But, not too sure if it will hold any value, when everyone is backing out of mining, and selling them off.

Ethereum and some other coins are designed to be asic resistant. So you can't mine with ASICS.

Maybe Nicehash or a coin that has a change of really increasing in price.

Funny they talk about mining Ethereum with asics when it's about to go proof of stake.

Man, RAM chips are going to be in super short supply for the next few years.

I wonder what the timeline will be for these ASICs to hit the market. I remember when BTC first came out. Lots of controversy about pre-mining.

The question is when ETH POS will happen ??

I heard it suppose to happen in year 2017.
Now, it's 2018

If it happened, ETH mining will go into ice age.
It becomes impossible to mine.

Might have to go with nicehash that mines multiple altcoin then pays out in bitcoin.

Btw, bitcoin is going down fast again. Now, it's 9500
Heard India is cracking down cryptocurrency trading.

All i know is pos is the future. Mining using asics or gpu is a waste of resources, they just havent coded it yet. Think about how much cannabis they could have grown with all that wasted electricity.

POS will have miners. Someone will still have to validate the transactions.
