Wy couldn't they use credit cards - I've never paid high interest (or any interest) on it, as I've always paid off my balance every month... In reality, who doesn't do that? (I know poor ppl can't, and they really shouldn't use cc for short term debt)

As for complaining about student loans - option is either don't get an education, and live your life, or get a job, and pay for ur school as u work. May take longer, but it would prevent any bitching. I did the latter, not bc I'm offended by student loans, but bc I was brought up to work hard for what I wanted, and I wanted an education...

not true at all to the first point, now as for crazy mountain farmers they have different cultural beliefs and they come up with these cockamamie ideas; supposedly even the taliban didn't believe in this notion initially, but time warps everything i suppose

(im not certain how accurate this is but supposedly the taliban didnt agree with girls going to school because they needed the women to take care of the home front while the taliban went to war/got the country under order, and they said that the women can go to school when everything has settled down)

FYI: Usury is also illegal in Canada. Basically if you charge anyone more than 60% interest, you can go to jail.

With Aljazeera being a ZioAmerican news station, this piece looks like they are manipulating the viewer that many Muslim students are boycotting their education for their religious principles and are rallying the British laws so that they can exclusively not pay interest over other students.

Actually this happens more than often. Most of the cash advance services charge close to 60% and they deliberately try to stay around 59% to stay out of trouble.

This is because it's 60% per year and you divide that by 12 months it's 5% per month. I'm not gonna get into APR and compound interest to keep things simple. Usually those cash advance places will lend you money till your next pay check for a "Service Charge" of say 2.5% for 2 weeks (few dollars that most people who needs cash advance will pay without doing the math), which is close to the 60% annual legal interest rate.

you wouldn't be affected by the 19.99% interest if you paid your fucking bills
