as for the story it looks like everyone is complaining about student loans in the uk and this student in particular is trying to find a loop-hole is all
the girl should go to a middle eastern or european country where university is free as should the other students protesting

yeah you're right. REading back, the title is offensive with the haha in it. Sorry, I didn't mean it that way, I just laughed when I watched that video about the way that student spoke. When I post it, I sorta post the haha part as if I was texting.

It's their system...it either works or it doesn't, but its western hubris to assume its wrong because its different from our system.
Now to protest a system that wasn't designed specifically for your needs...that's kind of funny.
Wy couldn't they use credit cards - I've never paid high interest (or any interest) on it, as I've always paid off my balance every month... In reality, who doesn't do that? (I know poor ppl can't, and they really shouldn't use cc for short term debt)
As for complaining about student loans - option is either don't get an education, and live your life, or get a job, and pay for ur school as u work. May take longer, but it would prevent any bitching. I did the latter, not bc I'm offended by student loans, but bc I was brought up to work hard for what I wanted, and I wanted an education...
I thought girls weren't allowed to be educated in Islam. Wasn't there a series of acid attacks on female students? And some girl was shot in Pakistan for trying to go to school recently wasn't she?

not true at all to the first point, now as for crazy mountain farmers they have different cultural beliefs and they come up with these cockamamie ideas; supposedly even the taliban didn't believe in this notion initially, but time warps everything i suppose
(im not certain how accurate this is but supposedly the taliban didnt agree with girls going to school because they needed the women to take care of the home front while the taliban went to war/got the country under order, and they said that the women can go to school when everything has settled down)
i actually studied islamic banking for work once and they actually do basically charge interest but they call it something else and theres a roundabout way of doing it.
theyre basically just complaining over nothing and expecting people to bend over backwards for them.
With Aljazeera being a ZioAmerican news station, this piece looks like they are manipulating the viewer that many Muslim students are boycotting their education for their religious principles and are rallying the British laws so that they can exclusively not pay interest over other students.

Agreed, but then again, an education is worth a bit of debt, as it should increase ur earning potential upon completion (should - doesn't as much anymore... But still always a good idea)
Few ppl have $100k to spend over next 4 yrs coming out of high school, and many, some, most? Don't have parents who will pay for it
But this is life, nothing new, wish ppl would stop bitching about how "tough" life is, no one said it was cheap and easy - could be worse than loving in Britain, Canada, US, Europe, etc...

Actually this happens more than often. Most of the cash advance services charge close to 60% and they deliberately try to stay around 59% to stay out of trouble.
This is because it's 60% per year and you divide that by 12 months it's 5% per month. I'm not gonna get into APR and compound interest to keep things simple. Usually those cash advance places will lend you money till your next pay check for a "Service Charge" of say 2.5% for 2 weeks (few dollars that most people who needs cash advance will pay without doing the math), which is close to the 60% annual legal interest rate.
