Gotta love all the dirty, hippie protesters, and the irony of Idle No More.

dangonay 03-30-2013 07:57 PM

Idle no more? Isn't it already against the law to let your car idle? :troll:

MG1 03-30-2013 08:10 PM

Those guys don't care about anyone else........ they rarely see the bigger picture anyway.

They just want to feel like they're making a difference. To get involved in politics and making a difference by changing the laws, etc. is too much work. It's much easier to hold hands and sing kumbaya. Ok, they sometimes light a candle and sway back and forth in unison...... or at least they try, LOLOLOLOLOL.

dinosaur 03-30-2013 09:17 PM

those Critical Mass fucktards will be starting soon...

Xu.Vi 03-30-2013 09:27 PM

To be honest, Idle No More should be a problem taken seriously by the government; but for these protesters (assuming it is probably Idle No More) to be f***ing around in the middle of a busy intersection....I think it makes people more furious about their movement more than anything lol

I do not support posts such as this, though. It's completely unnecessary to glorify an act as disturbing as it. A protest delayed a person for a few minutes, and they responded by severely injuring or killing a number of its participants. That's not cool. The alternate options to express disapproval were infinite and all superior.

4444 03-31-2013 02:15 PM

come on, shouldn't the police do something to break this up - protest in a park, on the side walk, etc... but this is just a big headache for the regular resident of Vancouver who pays taxes and wants to go about their day (as they have a right to do)

shit like this aggravates me, especially when i get pulled over for stupid shit (such as jay walking...)

Yodamaster 03-31-2013 02:22 PM

There are better ways to be heard than to block a busy intersection for everyone. It makes you look like more of an annoyance than a cause to fight for, not to mention that it fucks the system up, costing everyone time and money.

bensta 03-31-2013 02:26 PM

lol protesting for idle no more

closing down roads causing more traffic to idle while they wait for them to finish

Graeme S 03-31-2013 02:28 PM

Giant rows of signs and people along the street would probably be a more effective method of spreading the word--less rage and more "hey what's going on here now?".

westopher 03-31-2013 03:02 PM

The best way to change the world, is to start with yourself. These protests usually are riddled with hypocrisy, and little to know knowledge of what they are protesting. SO often, all that it is, is a bunch of undereducated self righteous assholes, saying "fuck you agree with me" with no facts to back anything up. Because fighting "the man" has become a fucking fashion statement.

CharlesInCharge 03-31-2013 04:03 PM

I bet almost all of you guys have had political views in the past on RevScene... may it be against transit fares, insurance rates, tax, the cost of living, etc... this one protest has accomplished more as a united people on the street against unwanted policies then all the posts in this website.

This thread is about keyboard warriors making fun of people who actually got out of their house to intimidate the government for changes.

westopher 03-31-2013 04:09 PM

What did it accomplish today?
