its just sad that this pit will have to be put down because of a dumb ass owner.
I hope within the next decade things will change and pitbull will not be labeled as vicious dog breed. |
While its possible, I/the law will ALWAYS side with the owner of the leashed dog, as they should. Dogs are animals, and its our responsibility to control them if we are keeping them as pets. I think its already begun an upswing of people understanding that pitbulls are not inherently dangerous. There are always going to be people that are too closed minded to see past a reputation, but society as a whole is becoming much less tolerant of blind judgement. My dog attends a class on sundays just to keep his socialization skills moving forward, and the class is mostly pitbulls and other large breed. Almost all rescues as well. Its great being in a field with all these responsible owners dedicated to giving their dog the skills to succeed. Most of these dogs just love each other, and love each others owners as well. Its not an uncommon site to see 4 pitbulls rolling around on one another playing like any other dog would. Pitbulls are just dogs. They play, eat, shit, puke on my floor when they are sick and snuggle just like any other dog.
