For all you Final Fantasy fans. Coming out August for PC and PS3. Have not played the original FFXIV but this looks really good. I'm getting the collectors edition for pc!

Will be preordering the regular edition for PC but might do collectors not sure yet. I tried XIV a bit, but didn't really get into it, but this looks really good.

i played FF11 online with friends for about a month all but two of us quit it and we never saw the other 2 again (they ended up playing it 24/7) :lol

Versus 13 is rebranded as FF15 for the PS4, but I heard its also gonna be on the PS3

ff is one of those series that i always have high hopes for and always disappoints me.
so many series have managed to make great comebacks, i dont know why the ff series is always underwhelming. since 7 and 8 there have been a few decent titles but they are just a shell of their old selves. i think most people would agree.

we'll find out next week at E3 if not TGS in September...it's about time we get a quality FF game

If 15 is on ps4 then it really sucks. Ps3 only has 1 ff

Agreed, I wanted to like it, but the truth was it wasn't great.
If you got the original collectors edition, you get a free copy of the new collectors edition though!

Friends that played ARR beta said its far better than 1.0, those that has gotten 1.0 will gain access to phase 3 beta this month. I'm gonna try out beta before I consider subscribing it.

Downloaded the beta, now slowly updating!

all the FF games after 7 for the PS was crap... the great FF game...

I have no idea what to expect

been playing it for the past 5 hours... all I can say is that its much better than FFXI or WOW. There are just a shit ton of quest to do. So there is really no need to grind for exp. lots of random events will show up near by and requires everyone in the area to kill some mob or something.

I'm definitely signing up for the subscription.

I think we only get the collectors in-game items; not the entire collectors edition that includes the book and everything else. Correct me if I am wrong, that'd be dope if we got the full Collectors Edition!

Played it throughout the weekend and yes, it's a lot better than 1.0 and WoW, but I can't say it's better than FFXI. FFXIV: ARR feels more like any other MMORPG out there with their own twists, of course, like the F.A.T.E example. FFXI was and still is on another level (until ARR fully releases we may be able to compare the 2 at end-game) where classes still require a lot of skill and strategy, and quests aren't handed to you on a platter on what to do or where to go. FFXI is more immersive in a way where you really have to explore and wander around. What are your thoughts on this? I played FFXI till end game before The Abyss. (Abyss ruined it for me)

Either way, ARR is amazing and I will also be playing this on release! We should all play on the same server!

FFXI had a much bigger world, and also even when it was launched in North America, it was already running for over a year with an expansion. So its hard to compare. From what I've experienced in ARR, it improved almost every aspect that I hated in FFXI. (ie mob re-pop is much faster, you get exp for helping others, quests are much easier to track)
ARR is far less time consuming. I could actually pick up and play a few quest and level up. While FFXI was countless hours waiting for a group.

But I'm not sure if its just beta or the final version is gonna be the same. So far I think its far too easy. Quest mobs gives like 100% drop as well. The game is still at an early stage, so if this game could finally succeed, I'm sure there will be more to come.

I just wish they change the payment method to billed by time online instead of monthly.
