Sorry I didn't know fan belief making players instant superstars only applied to first rounders or WJHC players. My bad.

Big Earl, although I don't understand Korean humour, I think everyone should keep this thread's discussion on the Canucks and the NHL.

Go Canucks! They better take the Columbus Jackets AND the Blackhawks seriously. As Torts said, don't disrespect the opponent.

m3thods 11-21-2013 08:46 PM

It's refreshing to hear about torts drilling the team for not taking another NHL team seriously, no matter their standing in the league.

patrick white was our first round pick.. what are you talking about? LOL

AzNightmare 11-21-2013 11:19 PM

lol, I just mentioned Toews for the sake of argument.
I was just trying to make a point that it will take Horvat too long to develop into an impact player (if he does become one),
and by then, our current elite will be washed up.

I don't actually think he will become Toews. Not even a long shot.

I remember having the same thought when the West Coast Express was split up. Bertuzzi traded, Naslund not the player he was before the Moore hit. I remember a lot of people worried that offence would have to come from the Sedins who were second liners at that time.

Same thing now. Sedins go...we have Kesler/Burrows...then Kassian/Tanev/Corrado (this is where I see the problem now..lol) ...then we have Jensen/Gaunce/Horvat/Hunter

Superskills boring as fuqqqqqqq

Great for 8 year olds and family tho

Jmac 11-22-2013 02:38 PM

The hardest shot and fastest skater competitions are the only things I'm interested in watching. It's good, low-cost entertainment for families, although, if I had a family, I'd rather take them to go see a WHL game than the Superskills. WHL is great bang for the buck. It's $13 for front row seats on the sides to the Royals, no cost for parking (if you park a few blocks away), and lots of fast-paced, hard-hitting action.

I think White Spot has a $99 family deal for the Giants if I'm not mistaken. Meals at White Spot, parking, and 4 tickets to the Giants for $100 is pretty damn good (even if they suck this year). Can't even get one nosebleed seat to some Canucks games for that price.

watched my first Giants game last year, and boy they play some good hockey too! definitely worth the $ compared to watching Canucks...

Pacific Coliseum seats are super tight though, even tighter than GM Place

Yep, burgers for adults, pirate packs for kids and I think a $10 GC to chevron on top of the tickets and parking. Haven't done it yet, but will one day.
