320icar 05-30-2014 07:03 AM

Actually, it all really started with the Thursday night coffe with classic cars in blundell centre. That was 2007. Then when they got kicked out a bunch of the bmw guys went to ironwood for Thursday night coffe from 2008 til about a year ago when revscene ppl started showing up and making it a heat score. So they moved to byrne but it happened again LOL.

european 05-30-2014 07:51 AM

Good times. Where the pics at?

meme405 05-30-2014 08:14 AM

I see lots of people out there with cameras, and even video gear.

But macksimizers video is the only one I have yet to see, and pictures are hardly ever posted.

I have pics from 2 weeks ago, I will make a concerted effort to touch them up and post.

the thursdaynight meets started with a bunch of us back in 2012. We were originally a group of audi owners. We slowly expanded since more and more people wanted to join. We originally started off meeting at the Tim Hortons on Bridgeport, and when the meet grew bigger, we expanded to the parking lot where McDonald's and FutureShop on Bridgeport were. Soon enough, we got kicked out, and we had to relocate to Byrne. When we arrived there, BCBimmer was already meeting at the Tim Hortons location, so we held our meets at the McDonald's parking lot. The meets were NOT started by Revscene, but as it got a bit more popular, it was posted on RevScene and it started blowing up. When RevScene guys started coming to the meet, they saw the BC Bimmer meets and confused it with our meets, which was why they started parking at the Tim Hortons lot. Soon enough, because of the confusion, we decided to all just move together into the Tim Horton's lot and meet as one big group. Thats how the meet became to be how it is today, minus the burnouts and dumb shit.

I have the same problem as this guy with Tire shine. Need to find a product which doesn't sling at all.

Give that page a like, and you will always be up to date. I'm making a concerted effort from here on out to post more regularly, and upload in a more timely manner.

I think the tire shine "sling" issue can be solve be using less product and allowing for it to dry.

I find you get that sling effect because you drive your car to the show/elsewhere right after you apply the product.

BraedenDA 06-01-2014 05:34 PM

Nice pictures meme405!
Any more pictures anyone?

jk6221 06-04-2014 11:45 AM

How many people are going to the meet tomorrow? I just insured my car for the summer and I was thinking about finally coming out to see what it's like.

mk1freak 06-04-2014 11:47 AM

Yodamaster 06-04-2014 11:56 AM

Hopefully these are still going on by the time I'm finished with the Z.

The armour all gel with the foam applicator included is probaly the best tire shine out there, the applicator pad insures you don't get a spray everywhere. As long as you give it 15 mins before you drive it won't sling either It also lasts a pretty long time between applications, and looks great.

I've tried the armor all, the turtle wax, and a handful of non-sling spray's.

My method for putting on Tire shine prior to wrapping my car:

I always put it on before I park my car for the night. I would put it on a rag or the applicator, wipe it on, then quickly roll the car forward just a few feet to get the area of the tire that was on the edge closest to the ground. Then I kinda give it a dry wipe, and let it sit overnight. Then the next morning I wipe down anything else that comes off easy with a dry rag.

Realistically even after all that I still have had sling issues with every tire shine I have used. It was a lot less with the turtle wax then anything else and I have developed a few other ways to reduce it, but until you have a matte vehicle that really shows the spots, you don't understand how much it is slinging up.

This. Most people think you need to lather it on. All you need is a small bead to cover one tire wall.

One bead might be a bit of a stretch, after all I am running 20's with 45 tall tires, mine might be a bit different than most though.

I use a lot cause I want it to penetrate into all the groves quickly without having to go over it to many times. Like I said I wipe off all the excess more than once.

Still slings enough to be a piss off with matte vinyl.
