First time coming out today. I was mine blown by how big this is. I originally thought it was max like 2 rows of spots full but dam. Impressive collection of cars too I must say. All the cars were on f**kin point. On par to official meets.

I did walk by a older guy who was just walking by and he didn't sound very happy.
Overheard a conversation with him and 2 guys from the meet that went roughly like this:

"...You guys come here every Thursday revving your cars and making so much noise. Do you know some people have work in the morning?"
"Well we're not the ones who organized the meet. Why don't you try some earplugs bro" - bro #1
"Ya, isn't it your bedtime?" - bro #2

I can see where he was coming from. Everyone leaving the meet seemed to be rippin it. Almost thought they were gonna spin out, (but then i'm like oh it's a front wheel drive Honda haha).

Just my 2 cents.

it was actually a lot more civilized and tame last night. aside from the two golfs doing a burnout leaving, mperor taking 3 hours to park while revving to redline every 5 seconds, it was all good.

Thursday Night Meets

people have to sleep? I'm not the one to rev but if people have to sleep, they are at the liberty to leave. besides, there is a diversity of cars and something like that is inevitable

meme405 07-18-2014 10:24 AM

Although I'm certainly not condoning the behavior of hooning and I see the old dudes point.

The nearest residential area to the location is pretty far away from the meet.

What is this guy trying to sleep inside his car in the parking lot?

I guess people could be ripping through the residential areas as they leave the meet, but that's their own stupid decision. There are so many cops in that area every thursday you would have to be a complete clown to try and draw attention to yourself while leaving the area.

spoon.ek9 07-18-2014 10:25 AM

good meet as usual but I did notice a group of guys egging people on as they left to rip out of the lot as they took videos. whoever that is, smarten up. it's stuff like this that makes the general public hate us and the cops target us. this meet is gigantic and the last thing we want is for it to get shut down or worse. you don't want to know what worse involves.

Yes. from the HQ, took it out for refueling and returned from a quick highway drive. someone had drained its main battery earlier.

:lawl:

Does that every time. Go up and down every row, roll forward 5 feet, neutral, rev to 5k, roll forward another 5 feet, rev to 5k, rinse and repeat until covered entire meet twice to make sure everyone knows he has a V10.

you guys are idiots.

Aside from people littering, I do not see the issue with non-drivers drinking. I don't view having a drink in public as worthy of being a crime.

This is not an official Revscene meet, and as such, forum rules regarding real life conduct do not apply, but are encouraged / shamed by some. As antagonizing as it sounds, if you don't like it, don't come. The same applies to children and/or young people, this meet is not guaranteed to be PG13, if you have any concerns about conduct, do not come. The police are usually present in some capacity, though it does not stop some people from acting out in ways that would be considered illegal, again, if you do not feel comfortable, do not come.

Concerning noise levels, the nearest residential area is just up the hill, extremely loud vehicles could disrupt residents regardless of how far away you think they live. Whether you care or not is up to you, you are responsible for your level of involvment in what could go wrong. The strip mall this meet is held at is NOT considered public property, the owners of the property could legally ask every last one of us to leave and we would be required to comply by law.

Burnouts on the property have the capacity to be EXTREMELY dangerous, this parking area is covered in bricks that could come loose at any time if given the opportunity. If you are not well versed in physics, that means that you can dislodge a brick and send it into somebody's bumper, or worse, their skull.

Because "LAST OF THE V10" :suspicious:

I do see the problem with it. Regardless of how you don't see it as a crime, it is against the law, and much like the revving and burnouts can quickly lead to us losing this location. Problems with public intoxication and idiocy related to it could very quickly cause issues for us. If you havn't noticed high testosterone and alcochol mixed with access to a parking lot filled with high power/loud vehicles, and lots of people watching is a recipe for disaster.

I was careful with how I worded that on purpose, I don't think it's worthy of being a crime, not that it isn't a crime. I don't support being wasted in public, it's just a shame that so many people can't control their alcohol. It's not that I don't see your point, it's more along the lines of wishing people wouldn't ruin something so that it wasn't seen as such a taboo.

That being said, the fact remains that if someone is uncomfortable with what happens at an unofficial meet, they should not plan on coming. I believe that you know as well as I do that the only people who can really control what people do at these meets is the police.

great meet tonight :) did anyone spot the mod team there? shoei, orgasm donor, nabs, spugen, rb, O'Henry and myself.

if you were lucky to see me, shoei or some of the BlitzGear team, thanks to Scion you were given free admission to Import Fest (although I peppered some cars with goodies). Make sure you take your flyer by your local Scion dealer to obtain your tickets

mb_ 08-01-2014 05:14 AM

I knew parking behind the Blitzgear truck was a good idea :troll:
