Epic, and this OP delivers quick.
Unlike the OP in the other thread who "beat around the bush" and took a whole month.

on topic - how do you keep them from coming back? and what are the consequences of having them around besides getting stung? do they cause structural damage?

Ok so as per instructions on the can... Spray the shit out of the nest and let
it sit for 24-48 hrs before destroying the hive. They were dropping dead pretty fast
while I was spraying.

EDIT: Damnit, got caught up in this so much that I keep forgetting to change camera angle to wide.

Initial recon before attack

ATTACK! Leave no prisoners! look at them drop dead fast!

I'll check tomorrow to see extent of death.

Pic of nest saturated in the poison with dead wasps

There are a few buzzing around but their HQ
has been nuked from low orbit so we will see
what happens tomorrow.

That stuff works well. I remember when I went to buy it, the guy at Home Depot was trying to sell me a different spray that you stick a hose into the nest and then spray....ya...I took that stuff you have that shoots 10' instead.

LOLOL this thread is awesome. I remember when there was a wasp nest building on my balcony my dad took a torch to burn the nest and poison at night for insurance and they never came back.

checked the site at 7:45am... no signs of life.. except one bee buzzing around probably looking for his brothers. I think tonight i'll do the final pressure wash cleanse and get that 'thing' off the house....but I suspect some hidden activity in/ or near the paneling...I have a feeling they will be back.

I also noticed they were going into the metal water meter... like they were collecting material from there to build that nest.. so I blocked off the small rectangular hole with a rock... there were 6-7 walking around the rock trying to figure out how to get in.

You are probably preventing anything from living within 10 yards of that area for the next 15 years, so I wouldn't worry too much about it

Wow didn't realize that spray could shoot so far! But it makes sense - you wouldn't want to get up close to the bugs before pissing/killing them off...

Mission successful. Pressure washed the remainder of the
dead hive leaving no trace.

Will they come back ? Who knows. ...

Nice dood! I didn't realize the spray shot that far either! I had a small one on my patio earlier this year, and I used my paintball gun to get rid of it. My dog likes to relax out there so I didn't want to use poison.

Uh oh...

Too high up to reach with spray or a pressure washer, and it's too dry out to use fire. lol

Well, we generally use Long Shot and follow it up with Killer (short range foam, purple spray can) at work. Long Shot by itself is more of a short-term solution.
