!Yaminashi 07-18-2013 07:52 AM

Apparently the design hasn't changed much though.
I wonder if they worked all the QC issues out

4GB memory is probably a typo.

twitchyzero 07-18-2013 09:07 AM

JKam 07-19-2013 09:30 AM

I don't see anything significantly different for me to upgrade from the first gen :okay:

terkan 07-20-2013 09:30 PM

asian_XL 07-20-2013 10:07 PM

still not going to buy something that does not fit in my pocket.

I would rather buy the Moto X or something 10inch+ with a keyboard

Funny enough, both my old Nexus7 and Tab2 7" fit into my pants pockets without a problem. But I do wear relatively baggy pants and not skin tight jeans. ;)

twitchyzero 07-21-2013 11:46 PM

looks like 1200p is real
regardless of how one holds their tablet the horizontal bezels are unecessarily thick
right now it's pegged to ship July 30th

Same. I already went through more trouble than I should have to get a first gen that was acceptable.
I'll wait for the next gen and a bigger upgrade

New Nexus 7 (Codename Razor) Fully Detailed And Benchmarked ? 2GB Of RAM, Snapdragon S4 Pro, And 1920x1200 Screen

internals are very similar to Nexus 4

shenmecar 07-24-2013 07:47 AM

yeah, its a bigger version of the Nexus 4.

Im actually a little bummed out that they didnt use the Snapdragon 600.......like the initial rumors said. O well.

!Yaminashi 07-24-2013 08:29 AM

That's why you wait for the 3rd generation model which will be baus and hopefully not ASUS made :p
(Unless they up their QC drastically)

anyone thinking of getting the ChromeCast? I have no need for it but it's only $35
Google introduces Chromecast, a $35 HDMI streaming solution for televisions (video)

shenmecar 07-24-2013 02:27 PM

thats cheap, i would probably get one to see how it works. even if its a complete piece of crap i only wasted <$50

New N7 has 1.5 Gigs of RAM more, 0.5 GHz faster (and quad core vs dual core), 150+ DPI more (higher resolution) and $100 cheaper.

iPad mini has a bigger screen and an Apple logo on the back.

imo, iPad mini is not comparable, maybe the iPad mini 2 is, but who knows when that will be out.

Does this help your decision?
