Went to Northwoods Casino in Lynden Washington yesterday for 100 for 100 day. 100 bucks Canadian for 100 bucks US. It was also seniors day, so I got 5 bucks free slot play. Seniors are now 40+. Damn it. I wait 55 years to get seniors status and now it's lowered to 40+.

Oh wells, better than starting seniors status at 65.

Gas at Sumas was 2.63/gal. Cheaper than Costco in Bellingham. Filled up car and two jerry cans. Border lineup was zero going down (Sumas) and zero coming back (Aldergrove). By zero, I mean drive right up show papers and off I go.

It was a win-win-win day.

Yeah, gas prices are slowly going up. It was $2.88 at Fred Meyers in Bellingham yesterday - good thing I filled up a few jerry cans. Today, gas is $2.79 at Sumas, Wa.

Blaine is always expensive, as far as gas in the US is concerned.

Just 15 miles down the I5, Ferndale has regular gas today for $2.89. Costco in Bellingham is $2.85 - not worth going down, unless shopping.

still kinda worth. did some math and if i filled up a full tank just across at 3.39 per gallon, its about 45$ to fill up. Here im filling up at 1.4x , which is about 75$ so 30$ saved. Not bad think ima start making some trips down

But lineups.......... time wasted..........can be making more money and spending quality time with family instead, LOLOLOLOL. Poor people line up for little to no savings, while wealthy use that time wisely by ripping off people so they can drive fancy cars and look all boss.....

Okay, joke's getting old.

god bless

If nexus gets me through the border quicker once a year it's worth the $50.00. I don't go to the US often but still worth.

Some reports claim that 92 gas from the US performs the same or better than 94 here.

methinks they want more people to come out. Lower the age limit and see more people take advantage of the deals.

As for 100 for 100, they send e-mails a day or two in advance. They used to have it on their calendar (see web site), but recently it has been spur of the moment thing. The last one I went to, cashier told me it was advertised in the Canadian papers - most likely Langley Times or Abbotsford News.

Damn, the McDonalds across the freeway from the Tulalip Casino had ten nuggets for $1.49. It's not the one next to the outlet mall, but the one across from Jack in the Box and Big KMart. The sign said for a limited time. I saw the sign at ten in the morning so they were still serving breakfast. I was on my way, so assumed the deal was at all McD's. Went to at least three others. No luck.

They also had mozzarella sticks for a buck.

Awesome find......... a friend of mine who lives in Abbotsford told me that there was a flyer in the local Abbotsford paper from Northwood Casino a couple of weeks ago. Two 50 for 50 coupons were in it along with other offers - one for month of May and one for month of June. She was kind enough to save me a flyer. So, if you know someone who lives in Abbotsford..............

money at par, ftmfw!

Did the border import restriction change recently?
IIRC - under 24 hours visitors are not permitted to bring back any alcohol but I can't find that document anywhere online anymore.

You can, but you're subject to duty & taxes.. you will definitely will pay if you try to bring a lot across. I get away with a 6 pack or bottle of wine every time without fail. Did today, in fact... wife doesn't have Nexus so it took an hour to cross today
