The BMW Z4 is a sporty car, not a sports car. The Porsche 911 C4S is a sports car.
As a sports car, Marco911's C4S is among the quickest of cars in British Columbia. In contrast, Afroduck's Z4 is merely an above-average car in the demographic.
Marco911 in his C4S could thus lap Manhattan more quickly than Afroduck in his Z4, undoubtedly scoring a sub-twenty minute time.
Timpo in a Nissan GTR - a venerable sports car - could score a sub-fifteen minute time.
I don't see how this argument has any bearing on the news or video.

It is... It's all relative though.
There's always going to be some guy in here with the mentality that anything less than an expensive exotic/supercar is not considered a "sports car"

Semantics. It's not a purpose built sports car with a racing heritage like the 911, Corvette or the Viper. A Z4 is a sporty car, like a Corolla GTS or a Cadillac CTS-V.

I went up to a cute chick and asked her if she'd let me take a photo of her for $30 she slapped me, she said to me that "I AIN'T A WHORE!"
But other than that I have seen every car on display in DTP just by cruising about in Richmond, thank you very much for collecting them together and get someone to sing a cover for "fuck you".

A VW Golf GTI is a sporty car.
That was an era where sports cars were mainly all open top convertibles. Times have changed. A Z3, though it meets your definition of a "sports car", drives like a 3 Series that's been in a bad accident.
