It wasn't supposed to be announced today, it was rumoured to be announced today. In any case, every news source I've looked at has guessed that it will be announced around the end of the month.

Yeah I dont get what's with manufacturers and the top of the phone headphone jack. It makes more sense for it to be on the bottom IMO

All my HTC phones and iphone and WinMo phones going back 10 years have had it on the top. It's not as big a deal as the headphone port, but I don't like it. It is too easy to hit the volume button on the other side when trying to press the power button.
