Looking for ones that'll stay in the ear while on the move.
Good bass is a must.
Doesn't need to be wireless/BT.
Doesn't need a mic for calls.
Just good crisp quality with good bass that'll stay in the ear.

Suggestions?

Have had these SE535s for a while now. They sound amazing. The soundstage is huge and everything is crystal clear. I can hear all the little details and the noise isolation is outstanding too. The over the ear design and the right sized earbuds make it stay in my ear. I highly recommend these.

I had these when I had my M50.

Ah, I still remember how five years back I grabbed a pair of UE triple.fi's for $100 off of Amazon.

Out of all the IEMs I've tried, I still rank SE530s the most comfortable (SE535s now with the detachable cable).

Still disappointed that the audiologist fucked up my ear molds that I wanted for some customs.

Sony Bluetooth w/bass boost - tons of bass - over ear.

monster N tunes wired. - on ear

Nexxtech crap from The Source

And a bunch of in-ear iPhone headphones.

I posted couple posts up that in looking for some new earbuds.
Anyways, not looking to spend too much. Definitely not in the shure se535 range.

Narrowed it down to shire se215 or bose soundtrue.
Is one better than the other? In what wat.
Would like decent sound isolation and bass.

Just bought a pair of Bose SoundTrue In-Ear Headphones for everyday and travel use. Very light and fits very comfy. http://huppins.com/media/product/98/...dphones-2e.jpg
At home I use Audio-Technica ATH-M50x https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/i...Ej_dvdUy8yCKbo

Bose is less bass but is more comfy and really light. Se215 is over the ear so some people might not like that.

Upgrade from crappy in-ear for commuting. Momentum 2.0. They have sparkling treble and good bass extension.

Buddy gave me his pair of Beats Solo 2.

Very impressed with the sound since I had low expectations for them.

Turns out they're actually highly rated - Time to Rethink Beats, the Solo2 is Excellent | InnerFidelity

anyone using logitech G430 headset? My microphone doesn't work when I have the sound/mic jacks plugged into the usb adapter for the comp but when they are plugged directly to the comp it is fine.

StylinRed 01-02-2016 02:35 AM

I don't but my dad uses one, constant problems, then the plastic tabs that hold the cans, cracked and broke (a known problem) he epoxy'd them back together, but still has issues like no sound/no mic unless the usb is unplugged and redocked

told him to just stick with a wired headset but nooo, he likes them wireless, so i got him an Astro A50, so far so good i hear

so.... :lol have you tried unplugging and reinserting the usb dongle?

Groot 01-02-2016 03:15 AM

Haha multiple times. It's so annoying. Can't even return cause it was a clearance item

StylinRed 01-02-2016 09:48 AM

that sucks, guess your only option is to send it in for warranty :/

iirc there's a 2+ yr warranty on them

What's the best bluetooth earphones out there? Using for gym and commute.

twitchyzero 08-01-2016 06:01 PM

anyone tried ebay cables with their senns open ear headphones? They're about the same price as the stock one but the stock one is too long for me.

Is there an actual difference in sound quality or nah like cheapie HDMI vs monster HDMI cables

jumsoo 08-03-2016 02:34 PM

I have dr.dre beats 2 wireless. not so happy because I found it not very water resistant

impactX 08-29-2016 06:25 AM

I have a set of HD800 at work that I don't listen to enough... I drive it with the O2 DAC and amp. The openback design means I cannot really turn it up with people around.

Thinking of getting the Shure SE846 but I don't think it would provide as much clarity.

ZN6 08-29-2016 02:29 PM

I use a set of ATH-AD700 paired with dragonfly DAC at work. For the price I paid, it sounds crisp and clear. Not a bassy setup at all.

Presto 08-29-2016 03:09 PM

If you work in an office with other people, it's less asshole-ish to go with something that's not open-back.

Alby 08-29-2016 03:19 PM

just picked up a logitech g633

FYI, I've given up on SE215s, they always cut out eventually out of one of the earbuds. I've gone through 3 pairs in like 4 years.

I'm now on Mi piston 3's and comply tips.

Does anyone have experience with the durability of custom IEMs?

I'm thinking of getting a pair of Cosmic Ears CE3P or 1964 U4's but I don't want to drop $800 dollars on them and have them shit out on me.

Lol, it's a good thing I can close my door. The good thing with open cups is that I can still hear people knocking.
