Bing! Nice head kick by Gaethje
Hilarious that the main event is for a fake championship

Here you go ... for the fake BMF title. Now there has to be a Trilogy ... and I wouldn't mind watching it. These guys are beasts. |

I was away in Penticton this weekend, White.
I just downloaded the fights and will watch them tonight.
No one watched Spence/Crawford?! I took my damn laptop to Penticton just to watch in in the Airbnb before dinner
What an ass whooping by Crawford.

Wow ... pleasantly surprised. Paul went the distance with Diaz and won on a unanimous decision. I know Diaz is old and washed up but he's still a tough MF. |

It was boxing, so I wasn't that surprised.. If anything I am surprised it went to a decision! Nate is 12 years older, much less experienced in boxing, and was probably 30 lbs lighter day of fight
He would have easily beat Paul in an MMA fight though
Good for him for getting paid, since MMA won't do it

Here's details on the class action lawsuit started by Cung Le like 10 years ago that finally got certified. Maybe there's a better article about it, but he does a good job of explaining it. 1200 fighters suing UFC so far. |

I also saw that Zhang out struck her opponent like 200-18 but somehow the opponent didn't seem to get marked up at all... crazy!

Man I've been behind on everything in life this week, I totally forgot this fight even happened, what a weird card, wasn't really advertised much.
Needless to say I'm pretty sad today White, going to watch this fight today and perhaps have a bit of a cry.

Alexa Grasso retains the title in a draw! Amazing! Shevchenko just can't beat her!

Some big changes in UFC 294:
Volkanovski in for Charles Oliveira (injury - cut eyebrow from training) vs. Makhachev in 11 days notice!
Usman in for Paulo Costa (medical - infection from recent surgery) vs. Chimaev
Interesting!

Even more interesting UFC isn't going to have USADA anymore after the end of the year. Hopefully they use the same drug testers as the WWE and things will get juicy in the octagon again.

Finally!!! USADA was a stupid idea.
These guys are literally breaking bones and tendons, and the sport thrives when you have older fighters who have built a following still able to compete, look back to your favorite era of MMA, all the older big names were on TRT.
Let them juice when they're injured, allow that ability for the body to repair, especially for these guys in their 30's. Imagine guys like Usman wouldn't have such a dramatic downswing in their mid-30s if they had access to GH and TRT, among other things.
Fantastic news.
White, lets go, I'm taking Volk.
I think Usman will lose (first time fighting at 185, ooof), but I'll take him. I'll never bet against another Nigerian.
I fully plan to lose both of these bets, both guys are last minute additions

K, I think I chose first the last few times so it's fair. You take Volk and Usman ... I'll take the two Russians. Kudos to both Volk and Usman ... ballzy competitors to take such short fights. Saved the event. Now it's still exciting and interesting.
But if Usman loses again ... man, that will be 3 in a row. It's going down a slippery slope. I wonder how he will perform in the middleweight class.

They're still going to do drug testing, just not with USADA. Maybe they'll change their policies but I doubt it
USADA was apparently a nightmare to work with, from both the UFC's and fighters' perspectives, so even without policy changes this is probably for the better
