Sleepers

Anyone have one? Anyone love / hate them?

I have a 98 Buick Regal GS (Supercharged) that I picked up with 73,000 org. KM and want to build it to sleeper spec.

Should have some fun against those Curry Surrey Stangs :awwyeah:

I absolutely love sleepers. It's just the best feeling in the world when no one else but you knows what's sleeping under the hood of your car.

Lol @ the safari van.

The drag slicks obviously indicate that something is a little off, but I would never have imagined how far off it really was.

I have thrown around the idea of driving my VQ35 into the ground then just swapping in an LS7 Crate engine.

Thanks to the V8 Option available in the FX's the engine bay is absolutely huge. The possibilities are endless...

I think some of my favourite sleepers are the volvo's with the t5's. I love the videos of them already going 130km/h and then flooring it; completely lose traction and smoke as if they were standing still. Technically not the fastest, but just seeing it happen is the worlds biggest grin machine

Yes, there's an LS for everything. At least they're reliable

the one thing an M3 driver has always been afraid of, is a debadged Audi wagon...

Sleepers are awesome.

I drove a somewhat sleeper for a while. 1981 Volvo 245 Wagon that was probably close to 300hp. Surprised many people with it and could still go camping with it on the weekends.

Its pretty easy to tell what it is wether there is a badge on it or not. Besides, it will probably have an electrical meltdown or explode its KO3s as soon as the driver floors it anyways.

I wonder if the 5.0 BMW could be a fast sleeper with a 347, big heads and a 150 shot

With today's horsepower numbers from the factory, a "fast" car now has to have like 600+ hp :/

Sleepers are practical jokes that you can drive everyday lol

i think it's pretty fair to assume every car guy has their 'sleeper' they'd love to own one day

ahhhh yes

Was it only brown people who failed my post?

:suspicious:

My Buick is pretty fast as is thanks to relatively light weight and the engine takes so well to mods, the timing gets ahead of itself. Would rather not chip a piston in my excitement.

Will work with a local tuner. Speed Syndicate perhaps. I'm sure this car would look amazing on their homepage!

LS7 Subaru SVX would be the ultimate sleeper

hk20000 10-11-2013 06:28 AM

The best sleeper out there would be a EG/EK civic with a 3' tall wing and a black widow bodykit.

Who'd have thunk that pos actually goes fast?
