Both sides have a valid point, he hasn't responded in weeks so that's a bit sketchy, but still he HASN'T responded. Perhaps he'll be 100% willing to replace all. IDK. |
To be fair, I haven't had the typical hazy footage issue. Mine stems from the fact that it seems to reboot every five or so minutes, regardless of how many different types of miniSD cards I use and how often I format them. |

The 400 had overheating issue and was quickly replaced by the 400II. Do you people not research on the vendor you pay $300 to? He was just some dude working out of his bedroom with stocks of dashcams.... I'm surpurised you guys are surprised his response are flakey. I once asked him for a quote and the way he replied to me told me to stay away from this guy. |

Sucks to hear about a site vendor flaking out and ASR seem like a decent vendor, I remember the owner always posting and helping out members. Hopefully there's a valid reason why he hasn't responded and the guys who need warranty work done get everything resolved if this vendor decides to come back. |

I've dealt with ASR when I got my Finevu dashcam during the summer. English is not his first language; therefore, we should give him the benefit of the doubt in that regards? We may get a different perception based on the tone conveyed in his messages, but I don't believe he has any negative intent. However, in regards to the OP. I agree with you guys that, for him to not respond to inquires affects his accountability and business reputation. |
Quick Update - followed the advice of one of the members on here and was able to reach him after posting a message on his instagram. Ive been sent instructions to pack up my dashcam and since Blackvue requires the cigar lighter cable (power) to be included in the exchange (mines hardwared in my car), I asked if I may borrow a set and he was helpful in connecting me to a friend which can lend me one. Thanks fellow RSers, just crossing my fingers this "new"/fixed Blackvue will not act up in a year.. |
Great that this is being finally dealt with, but this kid should know how badly this thread has hurt his reputation (due to his actions) Business is all about a great product and great customer service - both have been shown to be in question here |
you're right about the reputation being ruined. I have two co-workers who bought dashcams from ASR and I would be looking to buy one before the snowfall from ASR. But due to this thread, I would be looking other vendors:) |
