I mean, if this isn't the case for most kids, why do we even have toy guns to begin with?

Ugh, I'm not sure where you grew up as a kid, but I stopped playing pretend with my friends/brother well before I turned 13..........

In fact, I started playing pretend with the girls in the neighbourhood when I was around that age.

one of the scariest moments of my life was when my little cousin of 4 or 5 grabbed a knife stood on a chair and started waving it around as i was entering the kitchen. was so tempted to haul ass out of the room but my mom and aunt were in there and hadn't noticed.

bet the officer was scared shitless too

1. Parents fault for raising a dumb kid
The US has been center stage for gun related massacres and gun control debate
They should be aware that kid is playing with a replica gun and made sure it was in legal spec (orange tip) and educated him on where to play and transport the damn thing

2. Dumb kid
When I was a kid, my friends and I were shooting a "shoot-em up film" involving fake guns. Lo and behold 4 squad cars show up pointing their guns at us. We all yelled it was airsoft, fake guns and dropped them on the ground immediately.

3. Cop didn't do anything wrong

Where were the kids parents if the kid was playing?
Why weren't the parents contacted?

Cops need a "bomb proof" outfit to go tackle dumb asses with guns and knifes. Kind of like the guy in Hurtlocker. I wonder if that would work...

The massacre ignited a passionate debate on gun-control in America
Are you fucking kidding me?

Why does this one incident ignite the debate? This debate should be ongoing until the old washed up gun toting fucktards and their political douche friends in office get the fuck off this planet.

I thought with the Sandy Hook incident (you know the one where 20 children were killed), that progress would be made in keeping guns away from people. But nope, back to keeping the issue dormant until another tragedy strikes. If Sandy Hook won't phase even semi-gun nuts, then what will phase any of them?

I'm just ranting. No need to reply.

The gun supporters will stomp all over other parts of the Constitution in order to defend the Second Amendment. It's that ass-backwards logic that will prevent any progress on the possibility of firearms control.

your parents still had to supervise you at age 13 every time you were with friends ?

yeah the police officers should contact the parents of an individual the second he turn the barrel of a Kalashnikov at them.

Yeah, that toy looks real enough. Can't fault the cops here when there have been school shootings by teenagers.

And those saying shoot to disable or whatever...this isn't a video game. Cops shoot center mass, thinking for their own safety and the safety of the public.

I don't know where you heard that from, but multiple states allow the ownership of class 3 firearms. Any automatic AK imported before the Clinton crime bill is perfectly legal to anyone with the appropriate license, imported semi-auto AK's after the bill have to be equipped with at least five US manufactured parts to be legal in the states that allow them.

Americans in those same states also may have the right to construct a brand new semi-automatic AK with the right paperwork being filled out, US manufacturers produce and/or import and modify new AK platform rifles every day for sale to the American people. Blanks and dies are available for anyone to produce new AK style receivers, which can then accept parts from an imported parts kit, which is also perfectly legal in the states that allow it.

Don't assume that the entire country is California, plenty of evil death machines are out there for sale, legally.

gun control in the states is like fighting in the nhl. they kinda wanna get rid of it but wont cos its been around for so long and think it is needed for security so people/players can police themselves

Majestic12 10-26-2013 04:23 PM

It's not needed for security. A lot of people just love their GUNZ and will never let them go.

something along those lines

Good ol' StylinRed with his crystal ball and nerves of steel. I'm with you on this man. Like come on, what a bunch of pussies getting all scared when facing what they thought was a real assault rifle
