mercedes c300 2014. good deal? Hey guys, Looking at a 2014 mercedes c300 4matic with sport pkg, bixenon headlights, and parking assist. What is a normal discount that can be given on this car? Cost is about 44,000 (before tax/freight/fees) and i may be able to get 3500 off that price. Seem like a good deal? Or do you think its possible to get more of a discount? Any help appreciated. thanks |
The new c class will be coming next year, can you wait? |
no unfortunately we cannot (as far as I can tell the 2015 is not looking great from the spy shots).....another possibility is bmw 328 x drive |

$44k is right up there with the all new Infiniti Q50 Premium and the Lexus IS350 AWD Premium is a little bit more but might be worthwhile. |
IMO buying a NEW car right before it gets facelifted or replaced is a horrible idea for many reasons... car will look dated after 1-2 years, resale value drops, won't have new tech and etc. Get the bmw f30, it will only get slightly facelifted at most rather than getting replaced by a whole new generation. The 328xi is also fking fast. |
ask if there is an avantgarde package. the c204 class is in its final year |

And don't forget the depreciation on the older models when the new model is released. I would also recommend going with the 3 series, it is due for a LCI but the changes will be minor. |
Don't do it. The 2015 C-class is looking stunning. See above picture. |
Personal opinion, wait for the new one, next-gen. If you are really want the current gen, 2014 C300, buy a used 2013 or earlier one to save some money. Have you researched the difference(s) between 2014, 2013, 2012, etc.? If there are very little differences, why not a used 2013 or earlier? |
I wouldn't bother with 2014 models considering 2015 is the next big update. I didn't check, but I doubt there's much difference between the MY2013 vs MY2014. If you can find a MY2013 that fits you, try to bargain hard... the dealer might be desperate to clear them out as MY2014 become more and more available. |
German cars ... lease that bish :fuckthatshit: |
I sat in a C300 before. I wasn't impressed with its interior. lots of plastic and dated interior. I would suggest a new 328i as well. or maybe head to the Lexus dealership and check out the new IS250/350. they are great cars from what I hear. |
fuck benz and bmw get a new A4. Looks the best, performs the best, fuel econ is best and quattro |
Everyone on road drives a 328i, I don't get the point that everyone is recommending 328i. Enough of them already. Buy something that you like and will enjoy the most. |
I'd pass on the C300. Cousin has one and it's a bit of a snore overall. If you absolutely have to have one, wait for the 2015 model. death_blossom pretty much nailed it in the head. And if for whatever reason you do decide to go the Audi route - please lease it. :fuckthatshit: |

And also the 2.0T has oil burning issue. My A5 needs a top up every month. |

That said, if a new model is just around the corner, dealerships may be more willing to negotiate just to clear the old models off the lot. No harm in asking what sort of deal can be done. |

Everyone has a F30 328xi because it actually looks pretty nice and the performance is almost as good as a 335i now. |
I'd wait for the 2015 on the interior alone: http://cdn.performancedrive.com.au/w...Class-dash.jpg I honestly think Audi will be playing catch up with the interior for the first time. This + F30 kills it in terms of interior aesthetics |

the f30 does 0-100 in 5.7-6.1 depending on transmission/xdrive or not.. a4 does it in 6.5-6.6. have you even driven one? they actually feel very fast. the a4 2.0t was built to be an economical engine, the f30 2.0t was built to replace an inline 6. looks/interior is subjective. fuel economy is really not a big difference. and quattro is overrated. i'd much rather have rwd any day in vancouver. |
I think that whenever a new gen model replaces the old gen, obviously, the newer gen will be better, faster, stronger (pardon the DP reference). This applies to competing car brands. Newer gen models of a particular brand will most likely best older gen models of different brands. That is the point in out manoeuvring the competition, in order to sell more cars. |
