and her education should give you more reason to stick around.

one of the shittiest things in a relationship is the lack of communication because someone just isnt on the same intellectual level.. although judging by your posts it seems she could be considerably more educated and probably has better grammar skills

Exactly.

Gendering of roles does nothing for us but perpetuate an unhealthy outlook. So what if she is successful? She obviously wanted to get to you know. And while our social tropes tell us we are a shallow society....perhaps the benefit of the doubt wouldn't have hurt. I mean she did go to dinner with you after all. That in and of itself is saying something about YOU.

I think it's also safe to remember that what one person wants, may not be what another wants.

Meaning, some girls/guys might weigh intellectual stimulation really high up there on their list of "preferences in a significant other," alongside physical and emotional stimulation. While others might not weigh intellectual stimulation as a "make-it-or-break-it" factor...

OP why are you so discouraged? she did go out with you. did you guys not have a good time? clearly u were over thinking this gap in educational/financial status, unless the whole night she was just taking about material things, then i understand.

finally, it is not over until you invite her to the party in your pants

but if you've given up on her, then my question is, is she good looking?

seeking sugar mama please post contact details i'll take it from here.

there is a difference between being Educated and "smart"

tonnes of people are book smart beyond belief, doesnt mean that they are inherently smart, not does it equate to being socially adapt

My GF is an engineer, has [on paper] a better education than myself. When she has staff parties there are often doctors and very successful businessmen there and while [on paper] i am not as "educated" as she or most of her colleagues are, I am not out of place whatsoever in the way i present myself nor the way i communicate

anyone can be educated, i know very "dumb" people with degree's etc. to be able to see past a peice of paper and understand the way one communicates and carries them self, as well as work ethic and vision is a far different ability than writing exams.

i didnt bother texting her after that one time. i jsut deleted the number. you guys also have this feeling that you cant get her and why bother wasting time . also if you education is just college langara and some bcit and she has ubc degree or even masters with the lawyer
Rich/smart girls dig mediocre/average guys and vise versa. You will never see a hot chick with a hot guy. They just seem to repel each other. Theoretically, it's because both crave the attention on their self image and neither will put out.

I don't know how your date went with her, but you probably had a chance if you tried.

If you're good looking, but don't have the education/wealth, you tend to draw girls that are mediocre in looks but very high in education/wealth.

It's something about a person that is looking for what they're missing, either better or worse.

I keep saying, as long as you can HOLD yourself and NOT be like a retard DURING conversations, you're all good. You can't go to their xmas party and act like a stupid bum, dress out of place and talk about batman's finishing moves when they are talking about acquisitions.

having said that, ALWAYS know what you're worth (and be able to prove it)and you can pick up girls who owns a million dollar apartments and more than happy to shower you with things. which means, you have to offer something (huge penis, great cook, really caring, epic good looking).... something money can't buy.

Honestly if both of you are single and like each other then who the cares about the little things like education or possessions. Get on with life and see where it goes, quit holding yourself back from a possible happiness..

Yes of course you should bother, better than dating some liberal arts idiot, they think they're really smart when they don't have the brains or courage to try anything harder, worse of all they'll just expect you to pay for everything cuz they have no idea what hard work is and what it takes to make a buck.

Man those that think being a stay at home dad is an easier gig...you're in for a surprise if it actually happens.

I've got a four month old and also self employed as well. And the amount of work it is to take care of a child is beyond what anyone who has never had a kid could even fathom.
I too once thought how amazing it would be to be a stay at home dad but after four months of being a father, although its tough for me to leave the house every morning because I miss my son like crazy, i'll be honest, a small part of me is glad to get out of the house as ITS A CRAZY AMOUNT OF WORK and requires WAY MORE PATIENCE than you could ever imagine.

I have a new found respect for mom's and the amount of work being a mom entails is mind blowing...I can't emphasize that enough.

Congratulations on being a new father!
4 months is hell....
Give it a few more months and things should ease off.
