Not sure if the above information is current (dated July 2013). I've read articles since saying it wasn't going to happen, but even that keeps changing.

:okay:

It's kinda sad that the new 2015 STi is nothing substantially different than the 2014 model.

They should have made more dramatic change like R34 to R35 GT-R

Mr.Jay 01-14-2014 02:52 PM

According to autoblog it's going to be a 2.5 boxer

Sounds a lot like a EJ

EPIC fail in my opinion.

I was hoping that a new powertrain would compensate for the lack of exterior design.

SpartanAir 01-14-2014 11:03 PM

A boring video for a boring car. I'm such a Subaru fan and I'm so disappointed with the look of this thing. Honestly looks like a new Corolla with a bad body kit.

To think what I could buy instead for the money, that would look and perform so much better.

TypeRNammer 01-14-2014 11:42 PM

Wow the STi is completely backwards compared to the new WRX.

It is quite possible that the HP would be up, along with a new engine for the second model year.

Next Mitsubishi Evo to be 500bhp hybrid | Autocar

Evo line is done, there will be another performance car but it won't be called an evo. It won't be based on any chassis like previous evos, it'll have its own dedicated chassis and will be a hybrid. Thats the only information we have on the evo forums.

I don't know if this is whats they were talking about but mitsubishi is talking about releasing the 3000gt

Subaru is being cheap, they barely do any R&D and they get away with very little development on there flagship car. And there are a lot of problems with there engine and tune.

I can't see anyone wanting to pay 40k for a car that's the same car essentially of previous years.

I been looking for an 2006 STi for a long time. And they go for around 15K -25k.

That's not only Subaru though.

Mitsubishi GTO was virtually the same for 12 years except some cosmetic changes. Toyota Supra stayed the same for 10 years, Honda NSX didn't change much for 16 years. Mazda RX-7 was pretty much the same thing for 12 years too.

GG 01-27-2014 10:56 AM

the HP war is taking it to a new level compare to 20 years ago

now mini vans have 300hp, soccer moms altima has close to 300hp as well

duc_evo_sp 01-27-2014 11:01 AM

I just don't see anyone buying a brand new car at this price when you can buy one for half the cost and it's more reliable. 2003-2006 STi's over 2007-2015 Sti's any day of the week.

trollguy 01-27-2014 11:21 AM

a 2006 STI is the best yr to have :D

what do you mean it's more reliable? used cars are more reliable than brand new car? :suspicious:
