Every time I see this topic, I get a little chuckle from the subject line.

First Vi

As in the OP knows that more VIs are coming.

It's not like they called WWI "the First World War" between 1919 and 1939.

I wouldn't worry about it. Its OEM and its basically at the inspector's discretion. Have yet to hear about inspectors pulling out measuring tape and failing cars for it.

I'm pretty sure the OP here is leaving a few details out about his encounter with the police, generally the police don't usually hand out VI's for steering wheels, JDM or not.
