And also a massive rear seating area

She needs a hatchback, stationwagon, or SUV as some of her stuff won't fit in a trunk. I said the same thing to her, she said a sedan/coupe wouldn't work.

^ She likes to have a lot of junk in the trunk. :ifyouknow:

I might get my GF into one of these if it's not total garbage

I think the Juke is not bad as well.

For 28k - the spec is quite close to JDM version, have an interior and seats like this, quite fair to me. The overall package is pretty decent for a Japanese car.

1) Direct Injection Turbo
2) Limited Slip Differential
3) Recaro Seats (how often we get Recaro seats for a Japanese car at this price range)?
4) Nismo body kit (how often we get factory body kit from their racing division?)
5) Made in Japan?

This is pretty subjective and I know many people might not agree. But I think it is pretty nice.

Would totally not mind owning a FWD Juke with a stick. Totally on the market for one when the time comes around. Plus it's hella cheap considering it's a crossover with a 1.6L turbo with great power.

That thing has so little body roll it's pretty ridiculous, especially for what it is, much noticeably less than many sporty cars I've driven on the market (Civic Si, GTI, GenCoupe just to throw a few out there that I've driven).

It's a very stiff ride without being the least bit harsh, it's a strange feel really. Plus there's plenty of low-end grunt. Loads of fun, very smooth, very fun.

Though the one I test drove was a fully loaded AWD model, so not too sure if the FWD and AWD models will handle differently since the FWD has torsion-beam rear and while the AWD has multi-link.

Nismo Juke is to die for.

drove a fwd 6 speed nismo.... and hooned in it...

was very very fun. :fullofwin: motor runs out of breath at top end, but its plenty of power for urban hooning.

Any HP Specs; Would love to add a cold air intake; or maby a turbo charger. Would look sweet with some coilovers

The current Versa Sedan is being discontinued to make room for the Micra. The Versa Note hatchback will still be sold. Engine is the same as versa note, so 1.6 making 106 hp and 109 ft/lbs torque. About as powerful as other cars in the class here and I'm sure it will be quite zippy and fun to drive. In other markets people are pretty happy with even less power in the same car. There's already some after market for it and parts from the versa note/micra are said to be pretty interchangeable. Engine bolt ons for the 1.6 should fit on with little modification and I'm thinking if a few simple mods get the engine up to 125hp. Add in some chassis bracing could be pretty fun runabout/autocross car. It's supposed to be about 400 lbs lighter than Versa note so about 2100 lbs.. with a/c, back seats and spare tire in there.

Watched the b-roll footage and I noticed the exhaust cutout is pretty big. They know people are going to install an aftermarket exhaust :lawl:

asian_XL 03-08-2014 11:38 PM

^ probably they know the bumper is cheaply made, it will melt if too close to the exhaust

And here I thought the Hyundai accident was the cheapest car around. Base model is $15,374! Yikes!

that used to be true, Kia and Hyundai were pretty much the cheapest cars around.

now they have stepped up their game and competing with Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Lexus and all that...things have changed.

googling the last gen model showed that the micra has a lot of tuning potential:

i am not that familiar with micras, but the source for these images say that this is a 265bhp BTCC primera engine in it... makes you wonder what can be done with this new model? :concentrate:

choice of a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic
For the sake of the average consumer, at least it doesn't come w/ CVT.

carbuyer uk test of their version in europe (we have the 1.6L, they have the 1.2L):

hk20000 05-13-2014 07:10 AM

Hmmm the interior has lots of bits shared with the nissan cube.

if you need a small car but you don't need that afro swallowing headroom this is gonna be very decent to drive.

Nice little city car.

Some Revscene moron will have this car in HOS just because of the unmatching mirrors, I would bet.
