anyone play DayZ standalone?

its currently in alpha stage so the game is full of bugs and glitches, but so far its i find it pretty fun. Basically ur a survivor in a post zombie apocalypse soviet town and ur main goal is to find supplies to survive, but ppl r ganging up together as bandits to steal ppls food/supplies or kill them, zombies r ur 2nd concern now.

It would be nice to play with fellow RS members if anyone plays, just so the lone wofe doesnt wander arnd n get killed

I have the game, been wanting to play it but no one to play with :okay:

Looking to play with a few RS peeps. I have a Teamspeak we can also use.

Was playing for a while, but lost interest. I have 4 or 5 friends that rape it. I lost interest in the ultimate running simulator 2014.

I'd give it a try if my computer would handle it; I've been interested since the first few announcements when the mod came out.

i usually play arnd 1am to 4/5am if ur up at those times lol
if ur down ill play with u, tired of running arnd by myself or getting ganged up on

games like these are actually worth preordering
enjoying the game and more importantly providing feedback to improve the end product while not having to wait for it

steam greenlight program and early access is really gaining popularity

There was so many people hacking in the mod I have no interest in even trying the standalone. It's a cool idea but way to much running to get shot in the back or ambushed and loose everything.

$29.99 for alpha + beta + full game vs $59.99 for full game later down the road, u do the math?

altho its in its alpha stage right now, i've sunk close to 100hrs in it alrdy, so the cost has been justified for me alrdy

This is a game that REQUIRES friends to play.

Wanted to buy, but no friends. And bcrdukes doesn't play. :alone:

It looks super fun -- I've been trying to convince a few friends to start playing it.

Looks like there is immense potential for trolling.

You guys that are playing it, what's your computer specs, FPS, and resolution like?

Resolution at 1920x1200, there is lag here n there as the game is full of bugs n shit, buy overall game play is still excellent

Played the mod early last year.

From videos I've watched the standalone seems to have a ton of bugs (It's an alpha after all).

Game can be pretty interesting especially when you're wandering all alone for a few hours but at the same time it can be pretty boring because you're wandering all alone for a few hours.

I feel like this game would be great to kill a whole day playing but I couldn't imagine playing it every single day for 3 hours.

hmm, i think ill just pick it up. either solo or play with you guys here.

i spent the first few days playing alone getting gear and learning the map, then for the past few nights ive been joing servers with clsoe to max amount of players spawning in knowing sniper locations trying to take out snipers that r sitting there waiting to ambush ppl, but so far doing this alone is very hard as any movement i make alerts the sniper.

oh and the first few days i spent a ton of time looking for gear, now i know what kind of houses spwan what kind of gear

My steam ID is RX Renesis, currently my character is located at the airfield in the northwest, i think we should all meet up at some smaller towns before we go banditry on ppl

ps, if u guys havnt figured it out yet, join empty servers so u can free roam without having to worry abt running into ppl when searching for good gear

Will add earlier. if I don't pass out, I'll be playing later till 4 am when hockey starts.
