Anywhere in Vancouver that i can get my Steering Wheel refinished?

I am really interested in getting my OEM s2000 steering wheel refinished with thicker leather grip (About e92 m3 wheel thickness) and a red center stripe on top.

I've shopped around and found lots of places in the states.. I'm wondering if there is anyone local that specializes in this type of work? I would be really interested in getting this done even if it costs a bit more than the shops in the states. It saves me the hassle of waiting, shipping out my wheel and what not.

Is three people too much?

I can buy oem wheels for pretty cheap from honda but wouldn't mind getting it re trimmed

Kaolinite 04-06-2014 07:48 PM

I'm interested in this as well

BBSer 04-06-2014 08:02 PM

I am interested in this as well. By the way, I went to Trim Up Auto last week and they are no longer doing steering wheel now.

dared3vil0 04-06-2014 08:15 PM

I really want my steering wheel re finished in Alcanatara... Count me in. Perhaps an RS Group "buy"? :fullofwin:

k2_alpha 04-06-2014 09:18 PM

I maybe in as well.
The "leather" from my steering wheel is peeling...

SpeedStars 04-06-2014 09:24 PM

Interested...someone make a group buy!!! Leather is peeling off my wheel also

boostfever 04-06-2014 09:44 PM

there's Pacific Auto Trim on west 5th Ave, they do great work with interior and upholstery.
Might be on expensive side though, you might want to call them.

jpark 04-07-2014 02:43 AM

^my friend recommended Pacific Auto Trim as well
i am going to give them a call tomorrow and perhaps ask if we can get some sort of a group buy discount if you guys are seriously interested?

ill keep you guys updated

meme405 04-07-2014 08:23 AM

In for a group buy as well. I hate the rubbery texture of the leather on my steering wheel.

Would like to see thicker alcantara grips.

And for the record Timpo, I looked into retro-fitting a GTR wheel, the stock steering wheel is north of 1000 bucks, and then there is no guarantee once I have it that it would come even remotely close to working.

westopher 04-07-2014 09:19 AM

I'm very seriously interested.

BABU 04-07-2014 09:43 AM

Interested also count me in.

jpark 04-07-2014 09:48 AM

I will give them a call around noon-ish?
can we get a list here so i can get a rough idea on how many people are interested? or is that not allowed under rs rules..

I don't know what the rules are regarding group buys on RS. They don't pop up all too often on here.

Needless to say I am willing to take the conversation over to another platform with anyone else who is serious about this.

Since we're on the topic, has anyone ever had their seat reupholstered? Have a Bride seat in need of some love. Gonna call around and get price quotes this week but just curious otherwise.
