If Honda was smart, this would be the Acura equivalent here in North America.

Not a bad looking car at all. Interior is quite nice.

While I do wish Honda made fun cars again (drove an EM1 the other day, and it is like night and day versus the boredom of my EM2), the problem is that the economy is still at the point where people aren't really looking for fun cars... look at the sales of the S2000 before they cut it and it's painfully obvious why they did. Even the FRS/BRZ isn't selling in huge numbers despite its popularity... unfortunately these days, people are more concerned with other aspects instead of a car that is fun to drive. Look at any modern car. Bluetooth this, iPod that, iPhone that, voice controlled etc.... it's a wonder how people are actually still able to drive.

The lack of power and excitement is the biggest problem with FRS too.

It's a start. Honda really needs to consider bringing more JDM cars into the NA market. The current crop of vehicles in NA is anemic.

I'm in Tokyo right now and makes me sad thinking about the accords and civics we get back at home.

It is painful to keep up with the traffic. My family has a Suzuki Kei turbo in Asia, it is a nightmare in that car, it shifts at 4-5k rpm at normal speed, you will shit your pants to go up knight st. / Marine kind of road. Also, fitting 4 people comfortably is impossible.

Sure you can get good fuel economy, but that's only if you drive at 50km/h and let everyone passes you in acceleration.
