Someday I'd love to find an immaculate one with a blown engine, shove a 302 + T5 in that bitch, fuck any electronics besides the basics, lights, signals, heater, stereo, don't need any fucking big ass screen in my dash!

Yes it's a higher mileage Mercedes, but at an amazing price.

2002 Mercedes 430 CLK AMG Package

I don't get why people brag about $25k of receipts in an ad like it's a good selling point? More like ooookay so it's been a money pit and that's unlikely to change.

LOL I see this sometimes on the Mercedes Forum, - some guy with a 12 year old Mercedes posts 'I'm going to shove an ls1 into my C230'.

(Ignoring the fact that a build like that would cost a lot of money - overhauling the control surfaces such as the electronic braking system etc.)

I don't get it. Just get the AMG version of the car, It'll be more powerful anyways. - let alone being a better car overall.
These cars are soo heavy that you need an AMG supercharged V8 to get you down the road.

Save the 302 T5 swaps for e36 318i sedans etc

This car is from Alberta. :suspicious:
Needed an inspection to get BC plated. :suspicious:
Rebuilt status. :suspicious:
Obvious signs of the car having issues when you walk up to it. :heckno:

And I believe it might have sold as there is a 740i parked where this car use to park in Richmond.

Interesting...

For 5k more, you can get one with 80000 less mileage lol not sure if its worth it though

996 is poo.

white rocket 11-14-2014 12:21 PM

I wouldn't call them poo, per se. But yes, than can be viewed as the red-headed step child in the 911 line-up. Still though, you get a lot of car for the money. If you don't have the cheddar for a 997 then a 996 would certainly satisfy an enthusiast for the price.

But for the price listed, personally I would step up and get the 997 as it's only $20K away

i know my comment was vague, but thats all thats needed to describe that era of 911. looks like shit all around and for the most part they aren't that reliable.

westopher 11-14-2014 12:40 PM

I'd be very happy owning poo if thats what it looks/drives like.

richardmozis 11-14-2014 12:47 PM

The 996 is a great looking car if you get the Turbo or the 2002-2004 base Carrera.

The 1999-2001 Carrera with the boxster headlights is the letdown.
