Era correct, by their definition, is +/- 2 years of your vehicle. It's at the very bottom of the application, underneath acceptable modifications.

Perhaps 68style or the Rally VW Bug can chime in. | Not okay, but they're unlikely to find out so the chances of being busted are slim to none. Modified collectors status can only be had on 1974 and older vehicles though.

Call them and talk to them. As long as it was originally a potential option for the vehicle, it’s okay. Want an auto 318i to be a manual 325i? Totally okay as long as you only use OEM and do it to oem spec. Their staff is incredibly knowledgeable and if you can justify it, it’s fine

^ They *used* to be knowledgeable... there’s only 2 positions designated for reviewing all collector plate applications and the guys I knew have moved on and the turnover is crazy in that section so I wouldn’t count on much knowledge wise... on the plus side for the consumer they are approving stuff that the other guys never would have passed so more discounts for us! I’m not going to complain about the integrity of the program, who cares as long as we can insure our old cars for cheap lol

What's the appeal of these g20? Don't they have questionable 90s Nissan build quality and more expensive up keep compared to a same era Civic due to the lack of parts?

Early Infinitis are my favourite Japanese up-market cars. The G, M, J, and Q all had something special about them but they still got chewed out by Lexus and Acura.

^ All cosmetic, usually nicer quality and trim, better options, and personal preference. But you'd be hard pressed to find a Civic SI sedan in that general year for that price.

^ much lower in kms but one is $7000, the other is listed for $8500 ... pretty close? And oh ... the one you found has a slight scratch on rear bumper ... OK.
This one is much closer, 2008 Civic SI sedan, 200K kms, $7500 (final price drop). With some goodies, well maintained. https://vancouver.craigslist.org/pml...063257674.html

If you compare cars of the same year, the EP3 is light years ahead. It isnt efficient as well, and it is actually really slow. 9 secs to 100km.
I would avoid the ones with immobilizers.
Common issues are front shocks.. MAF...
it has stock LSD.

CSX has different bumpers, headlights and tails.
JDM CIVIC of those years were a copy of the CSX (CSX came out first actually) hence the 08' JDM Civic type R sedans looked 90% like a CSX S

then the acura badge was hastily glued onto the civic grill https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rds...081419309.html
bang for the buck daily drivers.

This one is much closer, 2008 Civic SI sedan, 200K kms, $7500 (final price drop). With some goodies, well maintained. https://vancouver.craigslist.org/pml...063257674.html | Would not deal with this guy. My friend sold him a Flashpro, and it was agreed upon that the price was firm at $650. When they met up, him and his friend tested the Flashpro by making sure it was unlocked, but they also (sneakily, unknowingly to my friend) uploaded a tune on it as well. Afterwards, he said "well, I can't do $650 man. I can do $480 cash right now", in an aggressive tone. At that point, my friend, because of the way the buyer was acting (aggressive and shady), in the back of his head, felt in a position where he needed to call the police because he literally thought they were going to offer him either 1)$480 or 2) a punch in the face and $0. In the end, my friend remained calm and didn't try to aggravate the guy. They reached a deal of $525 or something.
That's just a heads up to know what kind of person you are dealing with when you go look at this Civic Si. Quote:

It appears the basic CSX does not but the Type S does? From Car Review - Road test: 2008 Acura CSX Type S https://driving.ca/acura/csx/reviews...a-csx-type-s-2
The base Civic makes 140 horsepower from its 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine. The standard CSX makes 155 horsepower from a similar 2.0 litres.
My Type S tester, however, isn’t based on that Civic. No, its underpinnings lie in the pocket-rocket Civic Si, which means 197 horsepower from the beefed-up 2.0-litre.
Throw that power to the ground through the fantastic six-speed manual gearbox driving a limited slip differential and you start to realize that this isn’t your run-of-the-mill compact car.
