Not a steal but a decent shaped cousin to your RSX Type S, 2007 Civic SI Coupe

Hah that was me selling my friend's car. Honestly was a great price (car's been in his family since new) but no parking space = wanted to move it quickly without fussing with lots of tire kickers/test drivers. The price did reflect two rear end accidents though.

A little sad to see it go, it was a solid car. Would have kept it around if it had the 6 speed manual for sure.

Sold to a guy who bought it for his 19 y.o. daughter. Her criteria was "black, black leather, heated seats, sunroof, AUX". Sadly I doubt it's going to enjoy the regular 5K oil changes and 91 gas it's had for its entire life so far.

Somewhat off topic but do you guys think it’s worth selling off a vehicle riddled with issues? Lol

My old 2000 F150 is on its last legs. It runs very rough and throws an engine code that’s an easy enough fix but I’m not willing to spend the 4-5 hours it’s gonna take. Every light is on, CEL, ABS, Parking brake light lol. Also seems to have a ground issue as it will start cold 100% of the time but after running for 10-15 it won’t start as it doesn’t seem to get the cranking amperage due to a ground seemingly opening from the heat

Is it worth it to try and sell it as a fixer upper/parts vehicle? Or should I not risk handing this off to someone and just donate for a tax receipt. I’d say as a parts vehicle alone it’s still gotta be worth at least $1000

donk. 11-03-2021 12:19 PM

How dare you stereotype 19 year old women like that on a car forum :troll:

Too bad you can't scrap it for $6K towards a new EV anymore.

But yeah, you should see how much you can get from a scrap yard.

Gosh... kids these days are so spoiled! Back when I was 18 - 19 where I needed a car to go to university, my criteria was "a running car with an automatic transmission". And when I couldn't make it happen, it was off to carpooling with a buddy and waiting for him for up to 2 hrs a day when he finished his classes.

It stopped early? Scrapit's home page says no more 6k in 2022

I took a bus until I was 22 or so, but if I was lucky, I could borrow my mom's econobox.

Just occurred to me, the cats in your F150 are worth money.
Def worth going to a scrap yard to see how much they'd give you for parts parts.

There's no list of cars available on the Scrap it site.
You'll basically have to do the leg work to find any remaining 21's that has the rebate.

Quick search of Craigslist only lists 1 Mustang Mach E with the rebate.

a newer economy car can beat a luxury car from the past in features

the TSX is also 16 years old now reflected in the price...plenty nice for a kid but it's not a new Tesla which i know quite a few kids get to drive their parent's, some even get to drive more than their mom/dad because of wfh

$3500 type S.

68style 11-04-2021 04:16 PM

That’s a lot of k’s… I paid $2700 for a rebuilt title 2006 that I used for my swap and it only had 143,000kms on it. Prices have indeed gone up since then, but still…

fliptuner 11-04-2021 11:42 PM

Good price, compared to all the other Type-S's for sale. If the engine bites it, easy K24 swap.

rps13 11-05-2021 12:29 AM

Sir k24 swap civic - $5,900
