^The asking price just turned to $18k. The original asking price was $10k and $15k after taxes / fees, so ~$3,400 in fees. https://i.ibb.co/qrbDmPW/Screenshot-...-16-102430.png |
^ It's 17,999 now |

There's some fuckery going on for sure. When I saw it was $10k, it showed a price drop from $15k, so I assumed the description was referring to a smaller price drop between 10-15. Anyways, fuck that guy. |
Would any of you guys ever buy a used car from a dealer? Unless you are car illiterate or it's some unicorn. I don't see the point of buying a used car from the dealer. They always try to do some weird numbers game, over price + you pay full tax + bs fees. |
^yes Private sellers aren't much lower than dealers because they want the most out of the sale. Private sale is buyer beware and sold as-is and you need to buy your own Carfax. By going with a dealer, at least you have a chance of VSA to back you up, free Carfax, and some brand new parts when they go through their PPI. Vancouver is so small that you probably know someone who knows someone working at the specific dealer, so get the friend discount. I did a callout not long ago, got introduced and got offered a 2k discount without much asking. Didn't go through with the sale because I'm too picky. Previous owner put some big scratches in the steering wheel where I put my hand the most. So too bad for me, and I continue my search. |

The cars we would be looking for would rarely be for sale private. It's not common that someone would be selling a 70k SUV private. These typically would be off lease or traded in. |

Holy shit it was like pulling teeth trying to sell my 2020 Accord privately, and that I was asking 32500, let alone 50K lol Ended up selling back to same dealer for $30,500 in 2 hours, even sent a lot guy to pick the damn car up. So many fucking "18000 cash in 30 mins bro" |
Selling a car over $30K privately is challenging as most people need financing. I'd rather lose more money and trade it in and get some tax credits instead of dealing with awful people on craigslist/marketplace. |
Yea I guess for rs baller $70000 + cars it makes sense, I guess I only look at brokie cars. Selling a car over $10000 is a nightmare. So many $3000 + my Nissan altimas |
Selling a 10k car is a nightmare, selling a 50k car is hell. Now do both on facebook marketplace. |

A "100 point inspection" from a dealer is always bullshit unless its a newer car with low kms. All they do is take the trade in, wash it, fix any blatant issues, and on the lot it goes, the salesmen dont know anything about that cars problems. Your going to be paying full tax either way since icbc removed the "500$" car loophole, although if you do buy private il offer this suggestion: Call icbc, give them the car information, and see what ICBC value is. If its much lower than you are actually paying, ask the seller if he is ok with "selling" it for the icbc price on paper. |
The second loop hole is to buy a JDM car for 500000 jpy at auction, then they only tax you on the auction price. ??? Profit. Or just buy a JDM car here cuz there no black book unless there is a usdm equivalent model. |

Best way to deal with people that offer 1/2 price is to reply "sure bro, you can have it" Then ignore them, but read their messages |
I always send them to some butt fuck place in hope. Luckily I got a lot of burner phones but one of these days I’ll get shot |
https://www.mercedes-benz-north-vanc...amg-id34519029 Not a bad price and the carfax shows decent service history but if something breaks... |

Are guys are using your real profiles to sell stuff? Amateur hr in here. Make an account, sell, and delete. Reviews mean literally nothing. |

Click any person, selling anything, on fb, and they all have 1 or 2 stars. As trollface said, they dont mean anything, its not a google business review What fb needs to do is 1: add BUYER reviews 2: if you want to send a message as a BUYER, make a popup that covers their entire screen with the actual info of the ad. As most have said years ago, its sad CL is dead and FB is the new norm |
