The handling and agility of the car are excellent as expected. Steering feedback and front end grip, in particular, are excellent.
On the other hand, the engine is extremely annoying. The turbo 4 has absolutely no grunt before the turbo spools up. And then when the turbo torque finally kicks in, it is ferocious.
I like power delivery that is smooth and linear. The 4C powertrain is basically the exact opposite of that. It is of course a lot of fun when the power hits home, and I will emphasize again that it really hits hard. But in the short stints that I got to drive the car, I just didn't like it.
The cabin is also very small. I seem to think the Elise's interior is more spacious than the 4C.
