This looks like a fun car 2 except for the late 90s ricer lights.

wow... it's still for sale. that nsx is a regular here.

is this the same nsx someone mentioned on another page here that it did not do well in a compression check?

The problem with this NSX is the mileage. Even if you do fix the issues, resale will be almost impossible if you put more clicks on it, unless you want to give it away. It's probably going to have around 400k km's on the clock in a year or two. The only reason to buy this one is if you're going to keep it, maybe as a track car.

On a positive note, at least this NSX was driven, which is what these cars were made for. Better than collecting dust in someone's garage...

Yup the finding is on page 175 to those that's interested
On top of those finding i actually forgot a couple more
*windows rolled up really slow ( known problem for the nsx) needs new motor(s)
* AC doesnt work
* AC needs to be converted to R134
* Possibly Climate Control ( known problem )
* Right rear tail light is Incomplete
* Middle Tail light is incomplete

The price we agreed too was actually lower than his askin right now BEFORE the compression test

Maybe the lower number on the compression test in his understanding is a good thing cause he bump the price . I dont know.lol

edit::
forgot to add
* both front tires the inner side has no threads at all
*needs alingment

Clutch price at the dealer is about $1700 plus tax( complete kit)
and the oil leak is from the cam seals, end seal and oil pan gasket ( might aswell do the timing belt )

If you were to do them both according to garage5
5k plus tax for the timing belt/clutch job

and then there's the low compression on one cylinder

So realistically the car should be bought somewhere in the mid-teens so one could have a track car for $25k assuming the low compression needs rings. Yeah, not a deal at all at the current asking price.

I really wish i did the wet test to know for sure if its the piston ring. If you read between the lines on the ad 6 of the coil pack were replace recently right but when it was started car was misfiring still.(if you were to diagnose misfiring in obd1 this will be the sequence spark plugs > coil packs> check compression)
If one of the cylinder has low compression then it will misfire

I'd want to do a full suspension overhaul as well, that's a lot of miles on those bushings

1991 Acura NSX 2 Door NSX KA 5MT Rear Lower Arm - AcuraPartsWarehouse.com
1991 Acura NSX 2 Door NSX KA 5MT Knuckle - AcuraPartsWarehouse.com
In my research you cant just buy the ball joint separately apparently and if you search NSXprime there are some guy who offer ball joint replacement in the US.
The catch is you have to send the part to them
NSX Ball Joint Replacement
Front knuckle ball joint replacement. Whats the real story?
After reading some of that stuff i was in denial called lordco and sure enough the only listing they have on the suspension department are endlinks.lol!

Although on that nsx only the rear left toe arm the boot is rip but some of the ball joints have the "sweating" effect around the boots

Even with just maintenance work the nsx is a true money pit and yet i still want one .haha

No shit. Tell me what you are selling your car for, and if I have the money and want it, I'll buy it.
I've been trying to buy some e36 parts to no avail on there, with no response.
I have told him I will take it, come pick it up wherever and whenever he wants, and just no response.
When I was buying my m3 same shit happened with a car. Yeah I want it when can I look at it? "Uhhhhh I dunno, you want it for sure?" Well I'm not fucking sure because I haven't seen it yet retard. Car was taken down then relisted a couple weeks later for 1k more.
