I picked up a Civic VX - been searching for one for over a year.

One of the cleanest hatches I've seen - and the price I got it for was a steal :fuckyea:

I name it Stella. Here she is cleaned up! Went all the way to Aldergrove/Abbotsford in the middle of the night with my friend to buy it.
I ordered parts on the same night, they're on the way so this car won't be stock for long!

55+ mpg? Yes pls
2k rpm at 5th gear is already 100km/h - this car makes me speed so much

Thanks all. I agree with all the above sentiments, and so taking them in addition to the seller making it quite apparent that his price is not negotiable, we decided to not look at the car. It is immaculate but a Prelude is only worth so much, and with the timing belt and a basic tune-up my friend would quickly be into it for $10k (and he was looking to be into it for $8-9k, which is still A LOT imo).

Is he only looking for 5th gen prelude and stock?

There is a sweet 4th gen that is heavily modified and turbod i think that is forsale
His a mod/member here i believe

Damn... that's a nice clean find! Congrats!

I thought I wanted a VX at one point until I accepted the fact that I'm incapable of driving in a manner that actually saves fuel past a certain degree. Also, most mods that don't improve the aero will probably decrease fuel economy.

Don't get me wrong, that one looks great and they're super hard to find in nice shape - they just aren't for me.

Kind of gave me an interesting story, but otherwise is telling me the cop didn't submit the vi and it has a clean Vin. Is there a way to check if the car still has an outstanding vi?

Run the vin through ICBC to see if there is an outstanding VI

Pretty sure I emailed this guy and the car is a rebuilt. What a goof

Sellers who dont put efforts into their ads are most likely selling shit boxes or cars with some history

Hahaha nice try on the "navy blue", it's clearly purple... I used to own one of these in that colour. Miss it.

Price is not that great, I sold my '98 2 years ago with just over 200k and it was a DX (this is a CX) and I included stock steelies and a set of 16" gunmetal Honda HFP rims I had on it for the same price he's asking for this one.

Hahaha it seems like one of those colours that are debatable. However, the more I look at it the more purple it looks. And I agree that the price isn't great. It was just the original owner status that caught my attention.

If the condition of the vehicle is good, maintenance is up-to-date, and there are no major problems with the car, $2400 seems like a reasonable price to me. Not a super bargain, but a good, reasonable price. If I were still in my early 20's, I could totally foresee myself picking this up and building it into something fun...

You are not the only one. And every time I come across something good, I always kick myself for having already bought something and not able to jump on the deal...

Just means you aren't satisfied. I completely stopped looking (Other then this thread). Now I just look for parts.

On a slightly different note, I'm 1000% satisfied with the wifey, but that doesn't mean I'll stop checking out cute / pretty / hot girls. :hotbaby:
