Holy moly that local NSeX :ahwow:

Perhaps not a bargain but certainly in line with the current market, especially considering it's a one owner, bought new in Richmond car.

for the price and for being a not so common car, is it worth getting and making it back to stock look?

flagella 10-01-2015 07:31 AM

Just a heads up for ppl interested in that Laguna blue s2k. It's owned by some old postal worker. My friend checked it out a couple months back when he was still hunting for s2k. The guy is a piece of shit flaker and decided to keep the car in the end when my friend had clearly indicated his intention to buy it. He will meet you, talk to you about how great his car is, and end up keeping the car.

thumper 10-01-2015 07:35 AM

prices are all over the map for the r34 so i don't know how badly priced this might be (or not)...

I think that $42K price could have happened last year but with the drop in the CDN, I don't think that is possible for this car.
I'd say $45K is an awesome deal.
$48K isn't bad.

If the CDN drops anymore, then the $48K becomes an awesome deal. :okay:

Don't think it's the same one. Mr.Postman is from the island.

^ with our lousy dollar, most porsches are heading south now......which sucks for Canadians!

I regret not jumping on that GT3 from Bluestar motors last year.
$65K when I was looking, then it jumped up in price when the exchange rate dropped and now I am priced out of the market for them. :okay:

TBH, that 911TT is giving me a boner right now.

I know there was one exactly like that one early last year for $40K.

Prob the same one. BK isn't selling cars for what they paid for them.

Cool though - dude was slaying with one at auto-x last weekend.

2005 Infiniti G35 6 Speed - $8000

Actually looks like an 2003-04 from the interior & not the JDM dash kit, actually the Metra dash kit but low mileage, clutch done, clean title & 6MT.

I sold my 2004 GT3 (23K kms) 2 years ago with tons of mods (TE37s, OEM RS wing, etc) for less than that!!!

I think 996 turbos and GT3s are the next Porsches to start increasing in value substantially.......

westopher 10-01-2015 09:46 AM

The 996 GT3 already has skyrocketed. I just want to buy a car without it becoming a fucking investment.:okay:

Z3guy 10-01-2015 09:47 AM

^ they have gone up, but not to the levels of 07/08 GT3s.....

Traum 10-01-2015 09:57 AM

Dude, if you can swing a deal out on that Porsche, go for it. The financial analysts were just saying on the news yesterday that they expect our lamea$$ loonie to hit 0.73 (from the already pathetic 0.75 now) by the end of the year, so these Porsches aren't gonna get any cheaper.

I would 100% trust the guys at Blitzkrieg. If they have checked it out, mechanically, the car is gonna be OK. You know you won't be buying a POS from them (or at least, they'll tell you what might need attention down the road and how much that'll be when the time comes.)

westopher 10-01-2015 10:03 AM

I agree with that. When we are looking at cars with porsche maintenance bills, its worth paying a premium up front to buy a better example from a trustworthy source. I just wish someone ordered them in a colour other than silver.

Z3guy 10-01-2015 10:05 AM

^ nothing a riveria blue wrap couldn't fix!

It's my friends car. He's not a postal worker, nor is he old. It's the first time he's attempted to sell it. I think you're thinking of a different car.

It's a pile of crap though, don't buy it :troll:

trollguy 10-01-2015 11:31 AM

waiting for the usual "too bad/but it's a 996" response
