besides headbolt issues on the early cars. M156 motor itself is solid. 7 speed auto pre MCT era are solid as well.

^ a little bit pricier for the kms. looks nice though. The black car looks like its got the Important performance pkg (LSD!! and two piece rotors, suede wheel, stiffer suspension etc)

Any mid-2000s prestige german car is costly if you get someone to work on it.
If you get your head around these cars, its a lot of car for the money.
E55 is the car to go for compared to these e63s if you want more reasonable maintenance costs
