That Mercedes is nice... but it doesn't even have enough power to get out of its own way

That's why its cheap, it isn't a 6.9 or something like that.

GS8 10-07-2014 07:02 PM

Well if it isn't fast, go slow?

No, Benz didn't make fwd cars until the late 90s

The seller has 'RWD' twice in the description

SpartanAir 10-07-2014 07:44 PM

Thought so.

Some of their postings are mislabeled but I don't think they're trying to mislead. Probably default selections in their database software?

They have a 928s for sale and they list as FWD 4 cyl :lawl:

even the original owner didn't wanna drive that thing:heckno:

dont' get me wrong, it's a great deal. But at the end of the day you're still coming out to a car with technology from the 70's with acceleration of a turtle, handling of a boat, and fuel economy of a similar era V8.

2002 Ford Focus ZX3

Yellow 5-speed and it needs a battery plus a clutch. Not sure what he means by vacuum (interior?)

Not a bad option for a winter beater. Then when summer hits, pull out that four banger and throw in a V8 (and supercharger for good measure).

1992 lexus es300 (mechanic special)

$600 for a decent es300 is a steal. Should the overheating turn out to be a symptom of a serious issue you can scrap it and only take a small loss.

underscore 10-08-2014 12:42 PM

^ the DVD/Nav system and remote start are probably worth around $300, worst case pull those and bring it to Pick and Pull and you'll break even.

Perfect car for someone who wants to learn to wrench. Wicked price, totally worth.
