Jeremy Clarkson uses racist rhyme

I'll just leave this here..what do you guys think about this? I personally think everyone is blowing this out of proportion. Anyone that has watched TG for a while knows that he is not a racist. James May even tweeted "Jeremy Clarkson is not a racist. He is a monumental bellend and many other things, but not a racist. I wouldn't work with one. #ThatIsAll".

Jeremy Clarkson: Top Gear presenter in racist rhyme shame after caught on camera using n-word - Mirror Online

"While filming for the BBC, Clarkson can be heard chanting: “Eeny, meeny, miny, moe...” He then mumbles: “Catch a n***** by his toe”

DragonChi 05-01-2014 03:15 AM

lol... article says the racist version of a children's rhyme....
that was actually the original version when slavery was acceptable.

Like none of us has never used the word before. I don't see why this is a big deal. It wasn't even aired. As far as I know, it was edited.

Mind you, it should bother me as much as the slope thing. I didn't even know what they were referring to until I read that article.

Either here, or the top gear thread. I like what the OP posted though.

SkinnyPupp 05-01-2014 05:28 AM

Got to love it when people complain about new threads being posted, but don't bother posting their own...

nns 05-01-2014 05:52 AM

Gotta love it when people don't post threads about nonsense, trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

Jeremy Clarkson is fat, old, and wrinkly. He's nobody's true idol. Nobody sane I could imagine anyway. Now if the Stig said that...

LiquidTurbo 05-01-2014 06:08 AM

Personally I wouldn't care if he said it. Saying "n*****" is much different than calling someone that.

yray 05-01-2014 06:39 AM

Why post a thread for the sake of posting a thread lol

MarkyMark 05-01-2014 07:43 AM

He should be banned from the show and forced to sell all his cars. That's what you get when you trust a hooker.

Wait wut

Its america's pussification that makes nigger such a difficult word to swallow.

I learned from a swedish girl I met pretty recent that they have a card game called "nigger vs pressident" and its a common game there for children in elementary. And hey, the swed's arnt looked at with a bad eye by any means.

Like someone said, calling someone a nigger, and just saying it are completely different things.

freakshow 05-01-2014 10:07 AM

Jeremy Clarkson offended someone with one of his comments for the sake of ratings? Say it ain't so!

ilvtofu 05-01-2014 02:25 PM

His response
this is my statement. on Twitpic

Harvey Specter 05-01-2014 02:49 PM

Piers Morgan was probably behind this, that damn bastard.

snails 05-01-2014 03:03 PM

i honestly dont understand how people are so easily offended by something as minor as a mumble that may kinda sound like a word that is directed at no one.

wtf society

:suspicious:

dared3vil0 05-01-2014 03:34 PM

Should he of said it? No, probably not. Is it THAT big of a deal, nope.

noclue 05-01-2014 04:13 PM

I think people from his generation should get a pass.
So many things that are now considered immoral or illegal was legal and encouraged back then like physical punishment for children etc. It's hard for someone to shake off the mentality of that era.

People are so sensitive out of the smallest things nowadays lol

And the media will just about report anything

Phil@rise 05-01-2014 08:35 PM

he said nagger lol

Tone Loc 05-01-2014 08:51 PM

Ridiculous. Love how people are getting so wound up about something so insignificant. It's almost as if these self-righteous pricks have NEVER used the n-word before, whether it was on purpose or by accident.

Secondly, the n-word version of the nursery rhyme was the "original" version of the song way back in the day. Should Clarkson have said it? No, but let's face it... he's an OLD dude, I would not be surprised if it was what he learned in his schoolboy days. People need to lighten the fuck up lol.

StylinRed 05-01-2014 09:52 PM

I think Clarkson has shown he's a childish senior that has no understanding about right/wrong from using racist terms & chants to infidelity.

Some hardcore fans won't care as evidenced in this thread but my like for JC has been seriously eroded, it's such a shame since he was so likable

Manic! 05-01-2014 10:21 PM

As much as I like top gear Jeremy is a d bag.

kross9 05-01-2014 11:37 PM

oh bo hoo, he accidentally said a bad word, lets record the Queen for a week and listen to her colourful language, Im sure we'd get something news worth out of it!

underscore 05-02-2014 09:49 AM

If he was being racist, why would he have mumbled? Or requested the BBC not use the take that could be misheard? And if he was being racist, wouldn't he just ignore the newspapers like he normally does?

This clip was recorded a while back, so I'm guessing some hack recognized the original version of the rhyme and dug through some rejected takes in an attempt to make some news. How else would they even find it since the take wasn't used in the final version of the episode?
