As long as Argentina/Uruguay don't win, it's all good. If Brazil makes the finals, they better win. I can't imagine what would happen if Brazil lost, again. They'd probably tear down the stadium.

rsx 06-02-2014 07:18 PM

just here for the riots

ae101 06-02-2014 09:04 PM

Probably the weakest Dutch squad in a long time, their defense is terrible.

I'm not sure why people are saying Brasil are favorites. They have a ton of pressure to win the whole thing in their home country. They have a so-so midfield and their starting striker ain't exactly a star either, although he has performed well in recent times for the national team (Fred).

Going to be funny if Spain wins it with Diego Costa leading their line (Brasilian born, made the switch this year to join Spain). I hope he hired some extra bodyguards.

Ikkaku 06-02-2014 09:53 PM

brazil also has Neymar Jr!

the only reason i said brazil is cuz the government is having a super hard time claiming the ppl down in brazil as nothing has been improved since the economic crash, ppl would rather see the world cup & Olympic money go towards the country & poor

Yeah, the further along Brazil goes and doesn't win, the higher the probability of actual riots happening.

lol

so England loses confidence in Rooney

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's injured
Danny Welbeck injures himself during training

the inevitable self-destruction of team England happens once again

There's ACTUALLY a Pikachu on the front of the jersey?!
:fuckthatshit:

I've got my money on Argentina and Germany. Spain looks formidable. Brazil has home-field advantage but I don't think they have the talent to beat the star-laden teams.

HonestTea 06-11-2014 12:40 AM

I think the 2010 commercial was better than this years.

Watch John Oliver tear FIFA to shreds ahead of World Cup | National Post

So good. I'm looking forward to the World Cup as much as the next soccer fan but he brings up some hilarious (and true) points about FIFA.

StylinRed 06-12-2014 09:34 AM

The Opening Ceremony starts in less than 30mins (11am)

And then the first game starts after that Brazil v. Croatia

JaPoola 06-12-2014 09:49 AM

Who is broadcasting the opening ceremony and the game in Canada?
