I'm having too much fun with this.

Obsideon 06-17-2014 08:48 PM

How did you get a first name?

Mine is "TSON" with #11 jersey

Brianrietta 06-17-2014 09:40 PM

^ Man nah, I wish I got a mononym.

Felix Hildo #7

So, Netherlands/Straya tomorrow. I expect that the Oranje should have a comfortable victory but I'm hoping for another rout. Pic related:

Out of tomorrow's matches I think I'm most excited for Spain/Chile though. I have high hopes that it'll be a good game with Spain trying to lessen some of the butthurt from the previous game and Chile being aggressive knowing that Spain was penetrated so easily by the Netherlands.

Spain should have woken up after the spanking they got in the opening match. I think they will take it to Chile.

My wallet is counting on it!

Chile is all ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK

so you never know

anything short of a Spain victory=spain byebye

Hehe 06-18-2014 07:40 AM

Aggressive offence really messes up the tiki-taka strategy that Spain relies heavily on.

Unless Spain can really pull off an amazing tiki-taka (really holding good control of ball), Chile can fuck Spain up real bad.

Reports that Ronaldo is out for Portugal. Huge chance for USA to win

thankfully they already got 6 pts and sit at the top alone with such a large GD margin. now lets hope someone else can step up for RVP and have a good game against chile.

XplicitLuder 06-18-2014 11:48 AM

wtf Spain.. I don't even..

6o4__boi 06-18-2014 11:49 AM

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand Spain is pretty much eliminated.

This is some embarrassing shit for Spain.

Bender Unit 06-18-2014 11:50 AM

I can foresee Spain's legendary coach Vicente del Bosque going to step down after this World Cup.
Casillas is f--king done since the european league championship
He no long a world class goalie.

I'm lovin' it :D

R. Mutt 06-18-2014 12:03 PM

Spain going home for sure. Their offence is predictive and they are trying to play the same game they did 4 years ago when everyone has caught up to this game of intricate possession based football. del Bosque needs to take Alonso and Costa out to even stand a chance of a comeback.

Chile I have to say have really impressed me thus far in the tournament. I see them going very far. They will probably be the Uruguay of 4 years ago and maybe more.

This is turning out to be one of the best World Cup's I have ever seen. Major upsets but the quality of football from smaller "B" level nations is sublime. You can no longer just say the big guys will make it to the knockout round...it's really anyone's game. What a beautiful game it is.

Tim Budong 06-18-2014 12:16 PM

Chile can still win the group.

So Monday is for top spot simply based on points. None of this Goal bullshit

unless it draws, then the dutch wins and probably avoiding Brazil
hahaha

Edit: Hell Yes, Spain going home.

6o4__boi 06-18-2014 12:47 PM

brutal performance by Spain, from high to rock bottom.
End of the good times for Spain, ohwell, time for a new champ!

Where do I start today. Australia. Great effort. Looking forward to see what they bring in Russia when their players have a little more experience under their belts. They clammed up the central midfield and really stifled the Netherlands. That wasn't nearly as comfortable of a victory as I had expected but still with every Australian goal I felt confident that the Dutch would have a response. It's a good thing they can score though because I still feel the Dutch will leak goals to Chile. RVP out is going to hurt them, I'd wager, as they do not want to place second as I'm pretty sure Brazil will be waiting for them. I actually fancy Chile to leave group B in top spot now.

Spain. What a mess. I don't even know what to say. Del Bosque was wrong to expect that his aging, slower team can still play possession-based football. A pressing, aggressive team like Brazil paved the way in the CC final last year and I had a feeling that at the very least the Dutch would give them a drubbing, and I was right. Nobody is making neat little runs anymore, in midfield or in the box, being even more important now that teams are pressuring them all over the pitch. They don't have the outlets they once had, the players are static as hell. When Ausfailia and its youngsters are putting in a better showing than you you know you've done something horribly wrong. I see hope for Spain for the Euros in France, but they need to ditch a bunch of dead weight, realize they need to play a different style (including learning how to play with a number nine) and they need to incorporate their youth more. Spain have dominated the U21's for the past few years and that group needs to feature more, not just Azpilicueta and Koke (and Thiago if not for injury).

Chile is looking good. Their work rate is incredible and they've really caught my eye with how well the front line has meshed together. That first goal today was fantastic. If they can eek out a 2-1 or 3-2 over the Netherlands (quite probable imo) they could really challenge later on in the tournament. Momentum in a short 7-game final like this means a lot, and Brazil's has been slowed a little..

Gonna make for an exciting end to group B at least. My 2c.

StylinRed 06-18-2014 01:34 PM

lol that guy was hilarious

can't believe Spain bombed
Chile is good but still I thought Spain would at least put up a tough fight

omg i didnt think australia v. holland would be a good game to watch wow thought holland would have a comfortable easy match

Ikkaku 06-18-2014 01:47 PM

I wonder if the game would have been any different if Netherlands kept their 4-3-3 formation instead of what looked like a 3-5-2 lol
