There's something wrong with my fr-s. 70% highway and I get 8.8-9L/100km. Significantly better than with "winter" gas.

2011 3.7 Mustang

10.6L/100km (calculated) with the readout claiming 10.9

60/40 city/hwy

Long hwy road trips get between 7.3-8.5 depending on how much 'spirited' driving is done.

J-Chow 06-16-2014 09:35 PM

10.5L/100km city.

2014 Mazda Cx-5.

My friend's 03 accord 4 cylinders does 10-11l/100km in mostly city driving according to his calculation.

From what I read in this thread, some of the mileages seem lower than it should be including your new v6 accord. The computers definitely underestimate the mileages.

FRStan 06-18-2014 10:48 AM

2013 Scion FRS

6.7L/100km 100% highway when heading down to states
8.9L/100km 75% city driving

A lot of people don't calculate it right, and even still it's hard to be accurate unless you go to the same pump and fill it the same way every time.

knight604 06-18-2014 12:02 PM

^ i do lol Always shell , always fill the damn tank when its empty and i never fill it when there is still fuel left.

Then i do the math, fuck the computer.

2013 Fiat Abarth
8.6L/100km in mixed city and highway. I change at around 3k rpms because the Abarth is fucking loud and obnoxious even at 3k rpms (I love it)

hi guys, noobie and a stooopid question.

can you easily get the L/100km rating using this method?

- gas upto full tank
- drive for 100 kms
- refill up to full tank, however many Liters gives you the L for L/100km?

Akinari 06-26-2014 10:29 AM

2011 BMW 323i autotragic

10.7L/100km mixed city driving and 120km/h+ highway driving

2004 Honda Element 4spd

Around 13L/100km mixed city driving and highway driving. I feel like it's worse on gas on the highway than it is in the city. Good thing it only needs 87

You can figure out your L/100KM with any amount of driving, you'll just have to find the ratio to convert it to l/100 km. As long as you have a distance driven + Fuel used, you can calculate l/100 km

freakshow 06-26-2014 10:39 AM

SL500: ~15L/100km

underscore 06-26-2014 11:01 AM

^ that's a lot better than I would have figured.

Fill it up, make note of when you stop filling (ie the first time the pump kicks out? or do you add a bit more). Reset the trip, drive your car like normal down to 1/4 tank or so. Go back to the same station and refill to the same level. Take your receipt which shows how many L you got, divide by the km on the trip, then multiply by 100 and you have L/100km.

ex: You filled it back up with 40.0L, your trip says you drove 300.0km
40.0L / 300.0km = 0.1333333L/km
0.1333333L/km * 100 = 13.33L/100km

2007 Subaru Legacy Spec B (turbo)

12.5 to 13.5 L/100km all City

9L to 10L Hwy.

I do like to floor it once in a while.

Prolowtone 06-28-2014 01:28 PM

Never hand calculated the f150, I dont like looking :lol. Takes usually $160 to fill.. last time i was cruising up north i was doing 130 and my gauge said 23.8.....

The 92 toyota 3L V6 with the 5 speed manual. It took roughly $60 at around a $1.35 and i made it last 530km once driving to work in richmond from surrey with a little bit of heavy driving. so 12L/100km Not bad i could have done better
