Fuel Economy Thread - What Is Your L/100km?

I can't be the only one here that keeps track or tries to calculate their fuel economy.

What is everyone else's fuel economy (L/100km) that they are getting?
How does it compare to manufacturer estimates for fuel economy?

-

With the rising costs of gas prices, I've been trying to fix my old lead-foot habits and attempting to drive slightly slower than I normally do.

I drive a Del Sol Si and I managed to squeeze out 586.4 kms using up 35.473L

Manufacturer suggests 7.59L/100km, and with the last tank I calculated 6.05L/100km - that's just over a 25% increase in fuel economy compared to the estimates!

hchang 06-12-2014 05:22 PM

You drive a del sol and you're worried about fuel economy?

I don't bother looking at "manufacturer estimates" anymore cause I find they're not very accurate.

16-17L / 100 kms for me

GabAlmighty 06-12-2014 05:22 PM

I drive an 8000lbs diesel truck.

On the highway she gets about 10-11L/100km
City is like 15-16L/100km

Same. '11 VW GTI and I'm pretty close. I'm at 8.3L/100KM on my last tank. Half highway, half city.

Would be better if I didn't drive like an asshole sometimes.

Spoiler!

GTI's say 49.9L/100KM when driven properly. :D

...so you're paying like $100 for around 300-ish KM? Holy fuck.

kakucaekz 06-12-2014 07:05 PM

About 10-11 L/100 km, mostly city driving within Vancouver and Richmond. Mixed between granny driving and boosting around like a moron.

On my drive down to LA, I'd use 5-6 L/100 km.

91 MR2, 2.0 L turbo with slightly built internals and minor bolt ons.

Wild_Penguin 06-12-2014 07:06 PM

10.5L/100km (that's what my car's computer says anyway) Mostly City 2012 Mazdaspeed 3.

T4RAWR 06-12-2014 07:28 PM

christ, looking at some of your fuel mileage doesn't make me feel so bad lol.

2010 4runner trail edition. 13-14L/100km mostly city as of late

Hehe 06-12-2014 07:29 PM

10.9L on EX35

14.8L/15.5MPG on wife's S7. :fuckthatshit: I think it's shockingly bad... but I guess it has something to do with the crappy traffic in Irvine, CA.

Timpo 06-12-2014 07:32 PM

why do we use ()L/100km in Canada when everywhere else is using ()km/L

dboy 06-12-2014 07:39 PM

2008 Acura TL

9l/100km
80% highway/20% city
Premium Gas
Normal driving, not granny but not flooring it either

thumper 06-12-2014 07:55 PM

2011 Mustang GT

13L/100km city
11L/100km hwy

Ronin 06-12-2014 08:01 PM

^ that's better than I'd expect from a Mustang.

Do any of you use a smartphone app to keep track?
