Didn't AllAdvantage offer free dial-up internet as long as that bigass banner sat at the bottom of the monitor? I remember installing it on my friend's desktop because no one wanted to pay for dial-up.
No dialup, just the banner. I made about $2K from that I think. My friend made like $15K

^ Shit thanks for the reminders. MGS was the first game that I was totally immersed and emotionally invested in on my PS. And that GT2 intro. So many hours spent on that shit lol
Probably only behind Counter-Strike, Civilization IV, and Civilization V in terms of hours played for me. Definitely a lot more than newer Gran Turismos.
Can't find a decent example online to share but for some reason this morning I remembered printing party banners etc. on my parents old dot matrix printer back in the day. I remember being so impressed with the technology back then

A thought popped into my head the other day about somthing similar to this.
It was a thing where people bought pixels on a big board for advertisements etc and depending on how often you kept the window open you'd make more money? Or somthing along those lines I can't remember the name of it

Commander Keen, Chuck Yagers Air Combat, Battle Chess, Kings Quest, Police Quest, Space Quest, first Simcity, Golden Axe, Heretic, Magic Carpet (mind blowing), One Must Fall, Street Rod, Wing Commander, Tank Wars and more.
Street Rod is a game i can remember playing wayyyyy back probably near or at release in 1990.. taking it outa the long floppy disk storage boxes lol
Was a pretty cool game for the time, mod your car, race for money or pink slips, expand your garage, etc. lol
I remember playing that in computer class, and someone figured out a cheat where you could buy a car and part it out for infinite money or something like that
